Agreed. Also, I think a lot of people already bought 10 to Midnight a long time ago like me. No need for two copies, I'll just see what's offered next month. Malcolm McDowell for Royal Flash and Oliver Stone for Heaven and Earth are the only two autographs I really like, the others were all about getting a price break.

Well, it's not really free when you have to buy four at full price to get it. If you want to pay full price for four titles you probably already have done that. Not always the case but I think most of the time. You end up paying $24 a piece for the five titles, so saving on the regular price for the four is incentive enough but the signed copy doesn't feel like it's free to me. A lot of people do look for the signed copy of someone really known so they are willing to buy the four required titles. U-Turn is a perfect example. When Stone was the signature, they were gone that day, but when some producer signed, it took almost three days to sell.

Well, yes, they will be. Given that they weren't announced with any higher press runs, I would guess they'll all be 3000 copies. I doubt that any of them will sell out immediately, but the two you mention I'd say have the best chance of selling quite briskly (I would've thought maybe just Theatre of Blood, but there seems to be a lot more interest in Hardcore than I would've guessed). I'd say you probably shouldn't wait too long to order them once pre-orders go up, which will probably be the last Wednesday in July.

I think most people don't think of it as paying for four titles, and getting a fifth one for free. I think they think of it as getting five titles at 20% off. And there are always people who have a list of TT titles that they don't want to have to pay $30 per for, but will pay $24 bucks per for.

I've never gone for any of the signed promos, because they always seem to be offered at an inconvenient time between paychecks. Or announced just after I've taken advantage of some other sale.

The US shipping costs at SAE have also gone up. It used to be $4.35 for the first title and $0.95 for each additional title. Now it's $4.91 for the first and $1.55 for each additional title.

Since the movies I'm interested almost never sell out quickly, I can afford to wait for a sale or promo to get them at a lower price, so it's not like I'm buying movies that I wouldn't buy at full price anyway. I'm just taking advantage of the promo to get 5 movies for @ $130, including shipping, instead of paying @ $160 for those same 5 movies. By my math, that sure seems like I'm getting a free movie out of the deal.

Yeah, I placed a big order last week with the 10 to Midnight signed promotion and was surprised at the high shipping costs...$20.41 for 11 titles.

It's been close to a year since I ordered from SAE, I think before the separate TT site went active. I missed out on the last $10-off sale because the titles I wanted were gone by the time I was ready to order, and I already had most of the other sale titles. I just splurged on Twilight Time's sale today and got 16 movies I'd been putting off ordering for a while.

I'm almost glad that another 5 or 10 titles I'd been considering were not on sale (but I hope supplies last long enough for me to order them, preferably on a future sale) but it saved me $160 I can use for five full-price titles and shipping later unless another sale happens in the next few months. Shipping came to $15.99, so that made the cost about $21 per disc total, not bad at all with TT's generally very nice transfers and illustrated booklet plus whatever extras (love the commentaries, but barely check out the isolated music scores except on a few films).

I got seven titles this time, and I'll get another seven or eight on the last day of the sale. I have eight titles picked out that I'll want the most, but there are more than enough other titles on my want list that even if some of these are no longer available direct from TT, I'll have enough substitutes to get total up to eight.

Question

sorry if this has been asked before ...

I've seen that several "sold out" Twilight Time titles are announced in a not so distant future such as "Bring Me The Head Of Alfredo Garcia"...

Did Twilight Time posted something on facebook regarding a re-release of J.Carpenter's "Christine" ??? (en "ENCORE" re-release) as they call it.
I would like to be sure that I won't miss this title this time.

Ummm, dude, there's a wide release version of the blu-ray available from Sony. Twilight Time won't be able to get the rights to do a reprint of the film.

I'm just starting my blu Ray collection. So I'm new to all these different distributors and companies. I just ordered "Scream And Scream Again" from Twilight time. I actually watched it for the first time yesterday on YouTube before ordering it and I enjoyed it.

oh I was aware of the German Blu-Ray but not a wider release.
At the time of the German Blu-Ray release, DVDbeaver wrote : "It is 1080P on a dual-layered disc, colors are bright and there may be a minor difference in how the grain is exported and it may have a tinge more artifacts - but overall - it is, more or less, the same, IMO."
- so, this is the exact same transfer for the main feature(the movie) than the Twilight Time release ? (same bitrate, etc?)

- but I won't have the isolated soundtrack, that's it ?

No need to import. Twilight Time had planned to do an encore edition of Christine, but didn't because Sony decided to do an edition themselves.

Do people not realize that Christine got put out last year in region A where you can pick it up for 10 bucks at Best Buy, or do they really want TT to release another disc???? I'm glad I got the TT disc when I did because it came out even before the European discs, but other then the booklet/packaging and the isolated score the Sony release is preaty much the same. The isolated score only covers the score, and that's barely much at all (maybe 25-30 minutes tops).

8mm (Nic Cage)

Kiss of Death (1995 Nic Cage)

The older titles are not at Twilight Time. I'm guessing SAE has all the stock.
