Priced higher where? Because eBay and everywhere else that is selling TT movies are priced higher. Even if they're still in stock at the TT website.

Sorry I wasn't clear enough and left out SAE. They have Major Dundee for $34.99. TT doesn't even have it anymore. I was thinking it indicated low stock for SAE and was thinking of buying now because of that.

Major Dundee has a higher price because it's a 2-disc set.

Totally stoked for this, I know I'm wishing my life away but 2017 can't come soon enough....epic and classy quintessential '50s soap drama with Lana Turner pretty much stealing the show, Peyton Place is one of the rare cases where the movie actually improves upon the book

Several of Twilight Time's earliest titles licensed from Sony were priced at $34.95: Mysterious Island (original edition), Picnic, Pal Joey, Bite the Bullet, and Bell, Book, and Candle. Major Dundee came a year later, but as rdodolak mentioned, it was a 2-disc set. There have been two other titles priced higher than $29.95: Harlock: Space Pirate, also a 2-disc set, is priced at $34.95; and The Egyptian, TT's first Blu-ray, was priced at $39.95. And most of the British films they've released are priced lower, at $24.95. |

The original palate used for Technicolor prints of "Gone With the Wind" was not at all what you describe. |

I'm really looking forward to The Hound of the Baskervilles, Moby Dick, and The 3 Worlds of Gulliver. What else that's been announced and rumored aren't really getting me excited. I hope the latter two make it out this year.

I'm not surprised. The first edition included all of the extras that MGM ever had on previous home video releases, and I wouldn't have expected TT to come up with any extra extras. And given that MGM had already created an HD master for the film, I wouldn't expect them to pony up any money that they don't have anyway to do another one.

Today on Facebook, I had the following exchange :
SAE (a general partial-post ) : " Check back every Thursday for our regularly featured sale starting Thursdays at 5PM ET through the following Monday at 5pm ET " Me : Are Twilight Time BDs in the future sale plans ? SAE : We just started with this feature that will include many products on sale each Thursday at 5 p.m., but nothing in the works for Twilight Time right now. But keep checking back. Hey, I tried. |

Just a quick comparison because I know that Screen Archives always takes a lot of heat on message boards when it comes to shipping. Also, this is NOT meant as a dig at Kino, just a comparison for a little perspective.
On April 6th I ordered 6 movies from SAE as part of the TT signed promo (10 to Midnight). Shipping cost to Canada was $11.80 and my items were shipped on April 7th. This shipment included a tracking number. Although the tracking number does not work within Canada, it tracks the package up until it arrived in the country (in Toronto), so I was able to guesstimate the remaining shipping time. My package arrived in Saskatoon on April 21st, exactly two weeks from the shipping date. Also on April 6th I ordered six titles from Kino as part of their 60% off sale celebrating their new website. Also, on April 7th I received a notification that my order was processed. Shipping costs were $15 and there was no tracking number. The parcel arrived May 6th, one month after my order. Both items were packaged perfectly in sturdy boxes with bubble wrap around the movies. I am very happy with BOTH of these purchases, but in the end though, the SAE order was cheaper, faster and had tracking info. |
