TT's own site mistakenly actually charged my card, back in July, as an apology, I got a 10% off code, which effectively covered my shipping costs, plus a few bucks more.

[QUOTE=baheidstu;12716411]You don't even have to be region free... the Aussie releases are not

That's correct. Duh.....I was the first person in the dedicated thread to verify it was region free Oildude.....you think your memory is bad I've seen a lot of "I can't remember" comments in this thread. Kinda speaks to the age range of the regulars here...or maybe it's just me

This, though if I had to make a prediction, I'd guess the Encore Edition of the Train will sell out faster.

Though with the Region B Arrow OOP and demanding even higher prices than the TT, Runaway Train is certainly a logical choice.

It's only because the Train is an encore release that I don't think it'll sell out fast, but then again I didn't think it would sell out that fast when it first came out.

I'm thinking of going for another bundle, but I'm waiting it out a bit more. Hoping SAE will add more titles like from the low quantity list.

It was posted on here earlier that they won't be adding any more titles to the bundle prior to it ending on October 15th.

Plus, if you look at the list of titles, it appears that the only ones offered in the "7 for 70" sale are ones that passed (or will soon pass) their 3-year window. In other words, titles that were released up through the end of 2013. The only titles that qualify (and still in print) that haven't been offered are:

In Like Flint
Major Dundee
Drums Along the Mohawk
Oliver!
Jane Eyre

Only the first two also appear in the LQA list.

So now, another downside to 'encore' releases. Where are we left if we much prefer the new cover for The Train to the old? The neat, simple, gritty view of a determined Burt Lancaster vs. the lurid exploding mélange on the cover of the initial release (and in our collection portfolios). Do we bite the bullet and spend thirty or forty bucks more (eight venti caramel frappuccinos) just to replace a cover? What would that say about our priorities and values? Or could we just write it off as providing a bit of additional support for a great company...

But if you live the US, Best Buy has the Sony release for $10 regular price. Every now and again they offer either a Buy 1 get 1 free sale or some other promotion. I don't see any reason to pay $20 more plus shipping & handling for the isolated score unless that feature is truly important to you.
The upcoming Christine release by Powerhouse Films also has an isolated score and will be region free.

I just have a gut feeling they'll be included before the sale ends. I'm hoping they are.

Buy the new one and sell the old one. You can legit list it as OOP and likely make a profit.

Or try writing to them (or asking on Facebook) whether they would consider having extra copies of the cover slips for reissued titles printed to sell to those who have the original release, but would like the "alternate" cover art.

Nicholas and Alexandra is one of the titles that's part of the sale. Good historical epic about the fall of the Romanovs, Rasputin, and the rise of the Russian Revolution. Often impressive cinematography by Freddie Young (Lawrence of Arabia, etc., etc., etc.) and good performances all around from a fine cast. Relatively accurate as movies about history go—at least as far as I know. Nominated for 6 Oscars, including Best Picture for 1971. Excellent picture quality.

I hope so. I would like to add Oliver! to my buy 7 list since I am having trouble filling a group of seven.
