They say the Nile still runs red with the blood of the battle of Khartoum!

Even though he never actually says this in the film, it is the line I always use to practice my Charlton Heston impression.

Of the titles that have sold out so far, there's nothing I missed out on that I wanted but there's always that worry now that if one of my copies craps out I'm SOL in getting a replacement.
Maybe a combination of they can only sell them for so many years (like with American Buffalo) and probably SAE has too many copies of certain titles sitting around (especially since it took them a couple of years before they actually started sales on Twilight Time Titles). But you're probably right in that SAE only getting limited amounts of things now. Looks like they've been trying to get rid of their Film Score Monthly CD's also.

I feel they want to get rid of some of the old stock because of the 3 year exclusive window has lapsed for quite a few titles. But shelf space could also be an issue. They will probably add at least 50 new titles in 2017.

Ordered Mississippi Burning from Twilight Time Movies, and now my status says "awaiting fulfillment".

My order I placed with SAE on 11/16 which includes Hombre, Devil in a Blue Dress, Philadelphia, and Sexy Beast says "pending"...

And, it looks fantastic .

All of my orders are still "pending", but I'm not worried.

I ordered 13 titles, and that's unprecedented, even for a Twilight Time hog like me. I'm actually hoping that they don't all arrive at once, because it'll take me so long to unwrap them all.

EDIT: Yes, I'm well aware that this is the mother of all first world problems.

Yep. I've got 7 titles coming from SAE, plus another 7 coming from Kino that I picked up in their sale. Don't you love opening them all up at once and sitting there with a huge pile of cellphone all over the floor?

I didn't see it posted in this thread (it's mentioned in the thread in the Movie Deals forum), the price on Mississippi Burning has been lowered to $14.95 over at Twilight Time's own site for anyone that missed out on ordering it from SAE during the sale (amazing movie and totally worth $14.95 even as a blind buy in my opinion).

Also while just browsing through, I noticed that the price on 1984 over at TT has also been reduced to $14.95 (even though SAE still has stock left of that film for the sale).

Don't regret your haul Great Owl. Remember, buyers remorse doesn't factor into your lexicon.

I'll admit, I cleaned out my own coffers. Going into the sale, I owned 36 twilight time films... but then, in five successive orders over the last three days, I purchased 80 TT titles. It's been a binge for the ages, my largest ever. I am clearly not a responsible adult.

At any rate, I'm a long time lurker on blu-ray.com, but this is my first post. I've been collecting films for 10 years (blu since 2011). I'm a Georgia native who worked for a spell as a film critic at a local daily, but today I work in the broadcast industry. Films are my first and last passion.

I wanted to introduce myself and say it's great to connect with others who have such interesting insights into cinema. Plus, the tech savvy posters around these parts have helped inform me on some of my own buying decisions.

I enjoy reading your reviews, Great Owl. I purchased Man Hunt this morning after mulling over your words on the film, and upon belatedly realizing it was a Fritz Lang picture.

And the first of my Screen Archives orders literally just shipped! The ensuing sigh of relief you heard was from me...

THE BELIEVERS (1987)
HEAVEN KNOWS, MR. ALLISON (1957)
SHADOWS AND FOG (1991)
SCORPIO (1973)
RADIO DAYS (1987)
SENSE AND SENSIBILITY (1995)
PLACES IN THE HEART (1984)
NINETEEN EIGHTY-FOUR (1984)

Got my shipping notice too. I noticed on the invoice they e-mailed me that I was only charged $4.95 for The Sound and the Fury. I went back to the original e-mail they sent when I put my order in and, yep, same thing. Did anyone else notice this?

Thanks for mentioning this. I wonder if this price reduction is only for the duration of the sale.

The Sound and the Fury was one of the few titles that was only originally priced at $19.95 before the sale, as opposed to the higher price of $29.95 (I believe).
