I know there is a UK release, i ask because i might buy it if its completely imposible to see another one.
TT has a three year exclusivity but since this was originally released in Oct 2013 that has since passed.

When Twilight Time negotiates a license for a particular title, they pay upfront for a press run of 3000 copies (on a few occasions, they've contracted for 5000, and in one case, 3500) and for exclusive US rights for a window of 3 years. It's not clear exactly when that window starts (from the date of the contract, or from the official street date, or whatever). At any rate, during those three years no one else can release that title on Blu-ray in the US (including the licensor studio, unless they and TT come to a mutual agreement).

It's been a couple of months over the 3-year mark since The Other's street date, so the licensor studio (Fox) is free to release their own edition, or to license it to someone else. But I should point out that as of yet, no one in the US has released another Blu-ray edition of any Twilight Time release, with one exception (Sony released an edition of Christine).

As I said, Twilight Time only has US rights, so labels outside the US are free to release anything that TT has released here. There's another thread for listing international releases of Twilight Time titles.

Does anyone know if TT has a three year exclusive window to sell any movie they have already released if said movie gets a 4k uhd release? I'm curious if they would get first dibs if say Fox wants to release Journey to the Center of the Earth in the 4k uhd format.

As far as I know, Twilight Time hasn't said a single word about releasing any UHDs, so it's rather a moot point at the moment.

Apropos of something else, and a general FYI regarding orders with SAE, I got an email from them a few hours ago that my order (12 discs, placed on 11/18) have now shipped. Assuming that holiday shipments don't clog up the system, I should have my package by Monday.

I would think they could release the film in other formats in the US seeing that Kino has the DVD rights to certain blu-rays that TT has released

Nice! Thanks for the encouragement, as I'm trying to figure out one more order while trying not to go too far overboard. I think I could enjoy most of TT's titles. So hard to whittle the list down to just a few.

Easily, what I'd consider to be one of my 15-20 favorite performances of all time.

My copy of Breaking Away came with a broken case (the clips that hold the case closed were broken off). Will they send a replacement or am I SOL?

FYI - Anyone that is region-free, you can pre-order Arrow's Stardust Memories for less than $19 shipped from Amazon UK.

That's a very impressive order jayembee. Perhaps you were inspired by my own madness, as evidenced by the shipments that arrived on my doorstep yesterday:

It was an interesting film, it certainly goes places I did not expect it to. I was a little apprehensive about watching it because I thought it might be your typical cliched inspirational teacher film but I got it as a signed promo so I gave it a chance. Some of the performances of the minor supporting characters are a bit dodgy, but Pamela Franklin and Maggie Smith are great in it.

Someone mentioned in the Moby Dick thread that there's only about 20 copies left at TT and it's the #2 hot seller behind The 3 Worlds of Gulliver at SAE. These two flicks are moving really fast.

Yeah, I was wondering how long Gulliver would last, since the Harryhausen films tend to sell out much more quickly than the average TT title. Even though this particular picture doesn't have the typical Harryhausen creatures, I imagine many people will consider it collectible.

I was going to wait until the next sale to purchase Gulliver, but now I'm thinking, just to be safe, I'd better pick up a copy right off....

There's under 10 copies of Moby Dick left at TT. No idea how many copies at SAE. Gulliver will be around a bit longer.
