Yeah, I just got a shipping notice from Screen Archives on ENEMY MINE. Now my Criterion Blu-ray of ROBINSON CRUSOE ON MARS will have a friend.

Haha! I've long thought of those two as companion films as well.

Great to hear - except we are looking at 2014.

I watched The Agony and the Ecstasy for the first time last night and really liked it. Over the last year I have been discovering these big "epic" films of the 1950's and 60's. Ben Hur and The Ten Commandmants were all that I has seen up until then. The Egyptian, Demetrius, The Robe, Quo Vadis and now The Agony and the Ecstasy have all been great. Looking forward to seeing Cleopatra, The Fall of the Roman Empire, Lawrence of Arabia and many other films like this.

Well, I received Those Magnificent Men...and The Big Heat today. I am really impressed with the efficiency of SAE. Ed, Chris and the rest of those guys/gals are very good at what they do.

I Think I have that DVD; it has an art copyright of 2008. It says at top "The Miriam Collection" I to have been waiting for the Blu-ray, but I do not know who has the rights to it.

I have also been waiting for A Man for all Seasons and I think Sony has the rights to it and TT does business with Sony so I have hope it may see the light of day.

If Sony doesn't want to run with a Blu, I could see TT going after it cavesailor.

Bonus: A Man For All Seasons has another Georges Delerue score (already represented by Rapture and Steel Magnolias in this collection).

There is a BD release:

https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/El-Cid-Blu-ray/22303/

I've never found any reviews from the usual reliable places, so I have no idea how it is.

That El Cid Blu-ray is very poor, from what I've read.

It looks good, not great imo. Region B locked with no subtitles.

Me too, along with Enemy Mine and Steel Magnolias.

And 3 magnets - a general SAE one, one for some soundtrack (don't remember which film) and one for Pal Joey.
