Very highly recommend The Fabulous Baker Boys! It really is fabulous (no pun intended). Also U-Turn is another great one but it's a crazy movie if that's your thing.

My thought is that I'm intrigued by the description, and if you buy a Twilight Time title for $10 and wind up not liking it, it's very likely you will be able to resell it and make your money back.

@MifuneFan: Sorry, I should have said "sold through a variety of vendors through Amazon" (as compared to individuals selling through Amazon). The lower screen grab you posted even says that the seller is "Moviesrus"---that's who has put the disc up for sale, not Amazon itself.

Dude, no! Look at the entry inside the red box (underneath the Moviesrus listing). It clearly states that Amazon.com is the seller.

I think its just fulfilled by Amazon. Thats how you still get Prime but the actual product came from moviesrus. Thats how its always worked for me when I buy from a seller. If its not fulfilled by Amazon I dont buy from that seller. I pay for Prime so Im not paying for more shipping lol

You're looking at the wrong line. They're talking about the listing below the moviesrus listing.

In any event, what I believe is going on here is that this is a new blu-ray that someone has traded-in to Amazon through their trade-in program. Unless something has changed, Amazon has never directly purchased and sold TT blu-rays, but there were times, particularly early on during the run of sales they've had in the past year that you probably could have made a profit buying certain sales titles and then flipping them directly through Amazon trade-in. Just my best guess.

I think you're right about the trade-in theory. Either that, or maybe TT is quietly testing the Amazon waters with a title they're struggling to sell on SAE (it's been bundled as part of the 7 for $70 deal for a while and still hasn't sold out yet).

I see that The Twilight Samurai is on sale for $14.99...I really cannot recommend this film enough. I do not own the TT version as I imported the Panorama release from HK years ago. The twilight Samurai is the first in Yamada's Samurai Trilogy and it is a great film.

Mind you this is not a traditional Samurai film as the focus is on the human relationships. Yamada's direction imo is best described as a blend of Ozu and Kobayashi...a VERY talented director. If you are a movie lover, you are sure to appreciate this film.

I would love to see the final film of the trilogy get a release from TT. Love and Honor is NOT available anywhere in Blu. Sure, there's a Japanese release but it does not have English subs...I do understand a few words of Japanese but not enough to understand a movie .

Please make it happen TT .

I don't think this was a movie traded in because on the Amazon page copied it says "more on the way". It's either TT testing the waters as you say or it's a legitimate movie reseller who bought copies from TT and is reselling them but not at a ridiculous price. Just a guess but I'm betting on the latter. If they bought a bunch of copies from TT in the 7 for $70 sale selling copies at $23 is still a nice profit. People buying it from Amazon are most likely people who love movies but don't know of Twilight Time. Maybe it could help TT in the long run by bringing in more customers.

Does "more on the way" actually mean anything? I'm trying to understand how Amazon actually generates that, if the seller has to tick something to indicate that they will order more or if it is a default thing that a seller has to opt out of when they run out of stock, or some other option entirely.
