I just hope Universal goes more the Fox route(loaning out some lesser-known curiosities and occasionally a major studio title with less appeal), rather than more like Sony(throwing out damn near every major title they have (Bye Bye Birdie, The Way we Were, Places in the Heart), including three Best Picture Oscar winners, with no regard to what the word niche should mean).

I also hope that either Universal delivers some above average transfers, or that TT is a bit more selective in what they accept. I believe that's one of the reasons they stopped their deal with MGM, so having some iffy looking films dragging the quality down wouldn't be very nice.
I'd love to see stuff such as American Me, Winchester '73, Man on the Moon, There's Always Tomorrow, Written on the Wind, The Other Side of the Mountain, The Motorcycle Diaries, and Brick.

And, speaking of costume dramas, when are we going to get Robin and Marian?
I keep asking about Robin and Marian but they never respond, but with so many labels releasing Sony titles I figure it’ll have to come soon. Because it’s a British film I can see Indicator releasing it.

Winchester '73 is believed to be with Criterion and Written on the Wind is definitely with Criterion (and the DVD is still in print).

I would love for TT or anyone to release There's Always Tomorrow though. Right there with All that Heaven Allows for me.

One Universal title I hope someone- anyone- releases on blu-ray is an almost forgotten film called "The Great Man", directed by and starring Jose Ferrer. Like 2 other excellent films from 1957, "A Face in the Crowd" and "The Sweet Smell of Success", this film pulls the curtain back to show what a beloved media star is actually like behind their persona.

Not a title I would've expected to sell out that quickly. Yeah, I know it's been out for 3½ years, but still...in the grand scheme of things, there are plenty of other titles I'd expected to sell out before this one.

Never underestimate the insidious appeal of a bunch of British, Irish and Egyptian actors playing Nazis to Bluray collectors.

I bought it a few sales back based on the insidious appeal.

It’s got a fairly unique concept too though. I need to watch it again soon, I had a raging headache last time and couldn’t quite get into it.

I got pad today.
I order two on sale at TT $15ish each and one from SAE that said there was only one copy but I'm not sure if I should of spent $30ish on it. I hate spending more then 20 on a movie.

It's still saying there is only one copy left. hhhmmm.

It was also posted on Facebook that SCREAM AND SCREAM AGAIN has been permanently reduced in price to $9.95 for anyone still looking to pick that one up (perfect time of year for it!).

Each title was $30, except Wind Blows was $10. I passed on 9 to 5, The Bounty and a few more. Is this rare to find OOP titles on SAE?

I’m going to assume that SAE just never took down these listings. Considering that some of these titles sold out years ago I highly doubt that even a small number of undetected cancellations are still available.

I've been looking up a bunch of OOP titles on SAE and several are available to purchase with the "only one available" disclaimer. I actually think there are some pieces of unsold stock on several of these, maybe cancellations, maybe extra copies held back for replacements of defects, etc.

I think it might be worth anyone's while to look for any titles you missed out on. FWIW, I ordered Picnic, so hopefully my order comes through.

Interesting. I put in an order for 9 To 5 and The Blob. I already own the Indicator of "Experiment in Terror" and "When the Wind Blows" seemed to be gone.
