Definitely wouldn't package all of them, but smaller bundles of maybe 4-5 might be workable.

I've got a thread in the trading forum, and a lot of the single releases are just bunched together as "any two for $x", which is an option I have here but not eBay.

Limiting my shipping to Australia probably doesn't help either.

TT sold out releases are not completly worthless like generic studio blurays. Completly different market.

Though if you pay full price, actually making a profit is also difficult for anything but the in demand sold out titles.

Best to buy them for personal enjoyment.

I have lots of sealed and unopened titles including many of the sold out titles as well as a few of the promotional Blus with the signed booklet.
What is the best way to go about selling these? I'm putting together a list of what I have but I don't know if I want to sell them off piece by piece or just unload them in a massive go.
Consequently, if there are any titles that anyone needs to complete their collection, I am more than happy to sell some to members here before I put them online. Cheers!
Best bet-

Go into ebay, look up each title individually as *sold* auctions. Price each title about 10% below average sold auction price for each title. Profit (hopefully).

I agree. I have almost always been able to get these titles during sales, sometimes at drastically reduced prices or even for free as part of the promotional offers. There are very few titles that sell out before at least a first sale comes along and I always try to keep up with the low stock updates generously provided by Twilight Time and oildude

I don't spend much time in our trading forum, but for the rare stuff, I'd personally expect ebay to be a better revenue source. Not sure though.

Why do that? You'll still be pricing high. Low starting prices in auctions attract more bidders. Start an auction at 99 cents and let the market decide the final price. If there are concerns about something going for less than full value, attach a reserve bid price, though with Twilight Time titles I've never found that to be necessary. I recently sold a used title for twice as much as someone could have purchased new during the last sale.

Any thoughts on Wild Bill? I like westerns, I like Walter Hill, and I like that cast, but I know it got sort of a lukewarm reception. Is it underrated, or terrible?

Really wish they had included Geronimo over Wild Bill, but at this rate I'll probably only have to wait a month for it.

I've noticed that their most recent sales seem to conveniently coincide around the time as Kino sales...not that I'm not complaining.

Resereved price is just throwing money away from a seller stand point. These are not expensive items in the grand scheme.

I agree with the previous assessment to check sold listings and sell at average. I wouldn't even do the 10% reduction.

I also woulnd't just let the market decide via an auction. That works great on mass market items, these are nitch items only a few people are interested in. You can get burned easily via this method.

I only suggested that IF the person is concerned about not getting full value.

I'm an experienced E-Bay seller of over 15 years and I absolutely would sell via the auction method. I've never been burned and I've often sold them for far more than I expected to. It's also the only prudent method for someone hoping to make quick sales.

So true, haha! I'm gonna go with probably 3 titles for TT; I'm holding out on Criterion until the November sale.

I also have over 15 years of e-bay seller experience and 100% positive feedback with thousands of transactions and while BluRay isn't my primary seller audience (there isn't enough money to be made there), my experience suggests auction isn't the best way to get the best price on average.

If you are getting far more than you expected to, I wonder if you did the research befroe listing as stated in the method posted previously.

I agree if you need a get money now quickly and don't care more about just getting money in hand, auction is the way to go.

(Someone sold Leave Her to Heaven for $33 a few days ago BIN, clearly they didn't do the research)

I'm all over Auto Focus and Wild Bill. The only question is whether I will add Eye of the Needle to that as well.

I re-watched it recently and it's not very good IMHO. And like you, I generally love all things Walter Hill.

It has some good things going for it (Jeff Bridges is excellent as always) but overall, it's a swing and a miss. Walter Hill went on to revisit the character of Wild Bill with far greater success in HBO's Deadwood (he directed the pilot episode) in which Keith Carradine gave perhaps my favourite ever Will Bill performance.

I'm on these threads and forums all the time, I know full well the value of the items in question and what I should be getting for them. I also understand the mentality of E-Bay bidders who like to bid on auctions in order to chase deals and wind up getting into bidding wars which drive prices up, often beyond what the true value of the item is.

Going by your method of looking at past listings, someone could easily look at that Leave Her To Heaven sale, conclude that it's only worth $33 and post another Buy It Now for that same price and screw themselves over.

So, again, my advice to the person who started the discussion is, if they want expedient sales with good return on investment, E-bay auctions would be the best way to go.
