Yeah, I notice that quite a few titles on sale for 19.95 now had already been available for 14.95 in previous sales.

That's why I'll be passing on them this time around. They'll go back down to $15 in a future sale.

Like others, I thought many more titles would have been placed in the $15 bracket. I might pick up a few titles, but my order will be much smaller than I was anticipating.

Yeah, I went through and found four titles, two of which I'm not even sure I want to spend $15 on. There's plenty in the $20 and up range, but anything that I would pay $20 for, I already own. But, for me, this is a good time to be spending less money, so I'm not even really complaining.

Not really, other than The Best of Everything every title I was planning on getting is a price bracket over what I was planning on paying, so now I'm really torn on how to proceed. It's especially bad since a few of the titles i had my eye on were already in low quantity since previous sales, but I just don't have enough to spend. Dammit.

Considering 'Hell And High Water' and 'The Long Hot Summer', but was waiting for them both to be 15 bucks. I know that Long Hot Summer was on sale once already for 19.95, but I can't remember if Hell and High Water has been on sale for a decent price yet. Dying to revisit that one even though I don't remember it being exactly 'great'. Ugh decisions.

I really had a list of up to 15 titles on my wishelist I thought for sure were going to be $15 based on 2016/2017 sales, but every one of them stayed at 19.95. Oh well, none of them are super high movement items so next sale up

I'll take this as license to once again promote this film. It's a wonderful 50s melodrama and one of my favorite TT releases. For $10, it's a steal.

Going back and reading the post list response, most of us seem to be of a similar mind.

I have a hundred + title backlog. As much as I've been eager to see some of these since they were announced, there's no way anyone can convince me Harry & Walter Go To New York is a $20 (plus shipping) title. $15 would have been pushing it. Same with the Pat Boone version of State Fair.

The more I think about this, the more I'm thinking an extra $100 was just freed up to spend elsewhere.

Thanks for analyzing it, I was looking at this sale list and was sure that I'd paid less for some of the titles I already owned. Wasn't my imagination.

Those $9.95/$6.95 lists are getting annoying, it's the same titles every time and they still can't get rid of them. Geez. Just throw them in the shredder LOL.

Unfortunately not sure I see anything I'll be getting this time either, although I do have a handful I'd probably blind buy if they ever moved down a tier. Esp those $19.95 titles. Wonder if that means these titles are selling better and they don't feel the need to push them as aggressively?

Only two I want are Gloria & Mamie Stover. Unfortunatly both are $22.99 I woukd have been much happier with $19.99

Actually, to make matters worse, some of the titles that have been $10 (such as Cowboy and Born Free) have been bumped up into the $15 bracket for this sale.

Those were two I was waiting for also, along with The Hot Rock, Cinderella Liberty, and Let's Make Love and a few others.

I wouldn't be surprised to see most of these released in the UK next year.
Gloria in particular, being a Sony title, would seem to be a no brainer for an Indicator release at some point.

This ain't like the old days where if you waited too long you lost out completely. All these titles are going to be around for the next couple years.
TT can try in vain to reclaim their value by keeping them at certain price points, but all that is going to do is to retard their sales even further.
And in the meantime, someone somewhere else will release them in a superior edition.
There are a bunch of TT titles I regret picking up in years past- the Chase, Barefoot Contessa, Fat City and a bunch of others that all got superior releases in the UK for about the same or less than the TT sale price after the currency conversion.

Would have been nice to have been able to finally check all these off my list this season, but I don't need them that badly.

And I'm really tired of getting burned when a little patience would yield a much more satisfying purchase all around.

Most of the titles I have in my wish list fall into either the $19.99 or $22.99 price range, so I think I'm going to hold off as well. I'll just keep waiting for those "15 for $15" sales where it seems like 2 or 3 of the ones I want show up, and order then.

I can understand the more recent titles being in the 22-25 range due to them being new or newish but that 19.95 bracket is a little too big. 11 of the titles I got for 15 in either a 15 for $15 sale or during a studio sale; not to mention plenty of others that were $15. I'm still gonna get some titles but not nearly as much as I planned to.
