Those other prices will come down sooner or later. |

I was definitely hoping for some better pricing on some of those $20 titles, but it is good at least that they are still having sales. I'll have to decide if I'm placing an order with them or just concentrating on Black Friday deals~Unless of course some on my wish list get close to selling out...

If you have purchased directly from TT before, often you will get an email a few days later asking you to review the movie you purchased. In doing so, they will send you an email with a code that gets you $2 off any movie in your "cart" when you checkout on your next purchase.

It being a well regarded noir I would've thought if it's been low quantity for years now it would've sold out, but I guess I was wrong. Kind of shows how the "limited model" is a total crapshoot not just for Twilight Time, but those buying their product. I don't regret buying it though because it was only 20 bucks and chances are it is going to sell out sometime.

Pretty weak prices, almost no change since last time, but I decided to go with these:
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Got Anne since it's one I want to see soon, Remo because I fear it might sell out, and the other three since they were Fox titles, the best value for money, and the most attractive to me. Something weird happened on the Screen Archives site: some of the titles (specifically The Member of the Wedding, The Other Side of Midnight and The Barefoot Contessa, despite appearing on the search bar listed as SPECIAL PROMOTION, aren't on the site at all. I'm thinking it might be just lack of stock, since neither of these were listed as Low Quantity, but this never happened to me before. Thoughts? |

This sale is hitting me on the heels of already overspending on the Barnes & Noble Criterion, Arrow and Cohen 50% off sales. Sadly, I need to try and cool it for a little while. Hopefully I'll place an order before the sale ends.

The sale couldn't have come at a worse time for me, and what is annoying is some of the titles I paid full price on not that long ago are on sale including one title that is on sale at $4.95! Naturally I don't want to miss out so it may have to be a credit card purchase and hope I can pay when the bill comes through after Christmas! :-)

Just a reminder for those of us who are budget conscious at this time of year ... if you have a PayPal account and amass an order over $99.00, you can opt to pay via PayPal Credit and get 6 months interest free financing. For me, it's the only way to go.

Oof, really want to grab a few titles but with the Vinegar Syndrome sale starting tomorrow, I think I’m gonna have to wait. Nice that it’s running all the way through December, though - hopefully I can place an order before it ends.

Ordered "Where the Sidewalk Ends" to add to my Tierney collection. Her role's not that substantial but the film itself is an essential noir. And Dana Andrews is magnificent in it. Wish TT had gotten around to releasing Blurays of "Way of a Gaucho" and "Belle Starr", two Gene Tierney titles I especially like. But I have to admit - what with "Leave Her to Heaven", "Dragonwyck" and "The Egyptian" - they've represented her quite nicely.

Whirlpool is the one I'd been hoping for the release for over a year when they accounced it was in the pipeline. Even so, wasn't going to pay $35 (with shipping) for a single title. |

Ended up ordering Blue Denim from TwilightTimeMovies.com, but then I checked ScreenArchives.com for Where the Sidewalk Ends (sold out on TTMovies), and ordered that there, not realizing I could've also gotten Blue Denim there for the same sale price and saved a few dollars on shipping. ;^_^
WtSE is a blind buy from me, but I like some of the people involved (Otto Preminger, Gene Tiereny, Ben Hecht, etc), and I enjoy noir, so I'm hopeful I'll like the film. I've seen Blue Denim before, and while the film is very much a product of its time, I can at least appreciate it as such. I wrote a feature screenplay called "Blood & Blue Denim" partially named after this film (and Blood & Black Lace), so I figured it was worth having for that alone (for the record, it's a dark melodrama about a high school baseball player in the 1950s). |

I wouldn't call it kitschy, but it's definitely a melodrama. It takes itself too seriously and every character seems to be dealing with some kind of suburban problem (infidelity, alcoholism, etc); but, It's got a good cast and, if you're a fan of B&W CinemaScope, it's definitely worth $15.
