Their initial releases were in blue cases. They switched to the clear cases sometime in their second or third year.

They originally used blue Viva Elite cases and when those became difficult to source because the manufacturer started using the eco version, they switched to these cheap hard plastic blue cases, then eventually made the switch to the clear Viva Elites. I like the clear ones, they look really smart.

Cool seeing the full collection but it bothers me that while they’re separated by letter, they don’t seem to be alphabetized within each letter grouping.

And, if memory serves, in some later instances, there was a mix-up at the replicator's, who put them in blue cases (and sometimes in eco blue cases) instead of the clear ones.

Interestingly enough, in my recent order (19 titles) with Twilight Time, they included an un-ordered extra clear case. One of the 19 releases they sent me was in a blue case, so I assume they were giving me a clear case gratis so that I could swap that one out. I think the title in question was The Adventures of Haji Baba, but I'm not certain.

There was a batch 1-2 years ago where the manufacturer once again put them in blue eco cases without consultation so for those titles a replacement clear case was included with all orders.

Ha Ha, I like the Clear cases also. Don't worry RCRochester, I am about to order clear cases from TT, when I get them I will make the switch and make sure titles are in alphabetical order.

Yeah, that makes sense. The blue case I swapped out was an eco.

I'd be far more interested in hearing the rationale behind buying every single title from a label...

That's easy.: FOMO. Retail addiction. Collector mentality. Rationalization. Take your pick.

Using a blank case as a marker for when the letters switch is pretty clever, I might start doing that.

It matters about as much as said user uploading pictures displaying the entire TT collection.

Damn impressive collection. So many that I missed the boat on, like Zardoz, and Fat City. But there's no way every single TT can be worth watching though? Is there?

I stopped alphabetizing within each letter when my collection got too big. Wasn't worth it anymore. That's mainly for the mainstream stuff I keep together by genre. I usually do "boutique" releases by label.

Of course I do TT by year, which I have to admit might be getting to be too much trouble. May just go back to alphabetical. I think Criterion and KLSC are the only other ones I sort by year. I like to be able to see all the 30s, 50s or 80s stuff in the same place. Then you know right where to go

I was going to ask what the clear cases were there for. Not a bad idea.
Does anyone separate out unwatched titles? If not, how do you keep track of which are not watched?

No, not to mention there are far superior and more cost-effective editions from alternate labels.

And that matters as much as virtually anything anyone says in this, or any other, thread. Whether it's "I just ordered the following sale titles" or "what are the chances so-and-so is going to release such-and-such".

Wouldn't that depend on what any given person is interested in? I wouldn't consider, for example, Night of the Living Dead to be worth watching, because I'm not into that kind of movie. For someone else, it's exactly what they're into, and therefore worth watching.

So since you agree, asking the person why they felt compelled to buy up every title by this label is fair game, isn't it?

I'd genuinely like to learn their reason(s). Step away from the keyboard if your feathers are so easily ruffled (especially on behalf of others.)
