Bit the bullet and ordered two major favorites:
Peyton Place (among my top 100) and The Barefoot Contessa (apart of that group some time ago)

Just watched How to Steal a Million and Two For the Road. Both films are absolutely gorgeous (I assume 4K restorations), plus they star Audrey Hepburn, who has never looked anything short of radiant on-camera. How to Steal a Million is a lighter comedy, while I felt Two for the Road was incredible.

Was going to wait, but figured why not. I didn't want to miss out on some of these titles close to selling out so I pulled the trigger on:

You go to a Blu’s page, look for the number ID in the URL (“Peyton Place” is 133949), copy that number, paste in “post reply” (not “quick reply”), highlight the number, and click “[BD]”.

Thanks -- was just wondering the same thing -- will do it in the future!

And will also take some "stay at home" time to update my real-life collection here (which is probably ten times what's listed so far)!

Received the following two orders from this sale from SAE:

Two weeks ago:

This past Friday:

Fortunately, Customs didn't take a bite. I guess they're afraid to touch the packages now.

Was thinking about ordering on the last day of March but since they extended it another month, I may do a couple more orders towards the middle and end of April.

She and Gena Rowlands are two actresses from that era I will watch in anything.
When Lee Remick died at a fairly young age in the early 90s I was concerned that she would somehow get lost in the shuffle of actresses from the latter part of the golden age. Its wonderful to read in 2020 people still love her and want to seek out her work. I always felt she had more to give but was taken way too soon.

In the last month I've managed to pick up some films that I've been wanting for a while now. I think the recent Disney acquisition of the former 20th Century Fox informed a lot of my decisions. In the past month I've ordered:

Let's Make Love (Fox)
The Crimson Kimono
Mother Wore Tights (Fox)
Hello, Frisco, Hello (Fox)
Pin-Up Girl (Fox)
My Gal Sal (Fox)
Will Success Spoil Rock Hunter? (Fox)
The Bravados (Fox)
Hilda Crane (Fox)
I Want to Live!
I Could Go On Singing
X, Y and Zee

In this list, I would encourage anyone to pick up "The Bravados". Its truly a great Western with loads of tension and palpable grit. Gregory Peck plays against type and its truly a memorable film. I don't know what the inventory status is right now but I picked it up because its been on my list since it was released.

I Want to Live! I discovered as a teenager and have owned in every format except laser-disc (which I missed the boat on ever collecting). There was a TV movie version of it when I was kid starring Lindsay Wagner. I saw that first and it shook me.

I heartily second this; one of the better blind-buys I've made in recent times. Very similar in tone and feel to the psychological westerns of Anthony Mann. Phenomenal western, and the Blu-ray is magnificent.

Don't let this one slip through the cracks, folks.

I discovered "The Bravados" when Fox put out the DVD some years ago. It was a revelation! I've seen countless westerns in my time.

This one AND "Broken Lance" (also on sale) are among my favorites of the 50s. "Broken Lance" is basically King Lear set in the West. I whole heartedly recommend that one too, also a Fox production. Spencer Tracy, while not one of my favorite actors, really gives it in this film. It also had a great performance by Katy Jurado.

I just wanted to test the image posting thing (many thanks for the how-to), so here's what I picked up in the sale:

All blind buys except for Oklahoma Crude, which I adore. The Bravados was def a gem and happy to have discovered it. Eye of the Needle, not so much. Happy to sell that one off if someone wants it lol. Still have yet to watch the other two, will be next up on my Quarantine watch list!

A superb group! Just wait until you see "The Chase." It's a bizarre semi-mess (great performances) but loads of fun. It's been a favorite of mine since it came out. Brando is terrific. The entire cast is as well.
And look for a very young Paul Williams amongst the teenagers in the cast.
It's my Number One Guilty Pleasure title. Enjoy!

I'll add breathtaking helicopter shots of Manhattan, including the World Trade Center under construction. Oh, and can't forget the slippery lawyer played by Zero Mostel!

Also, it's a Fox movie, so...

^ I agree with the opinions above. I just Blind bought it and really enjoyed it. It's a great heist movie and I must agree with SeanJ, Redford was born to play that character. As I've gotten older I've noticed his "limitations" as an actor eg. THE WAY WE WERE, Babs runs circles around him in the acting department IMO. But in Hotrock he is perfect. Keep your expectations in check and I think you'll like it.
