I want to pick up Gloria on SAE. I feel like once I do another title I plan to buy on TT will sell out. Then I'll have to get that one separately on SAE.

Just ordered 18 over the past month and have 25 on my want list. Thought I had all of the ones on my list to get but kept finding more.

Add How to steal a million to the sold out list

next up to likely sell out at Sae are the following 3 titles as they are lowest on

Peyton place , Flaming star & The Detective

at

Twilight time Black widow ( 1987 ) & Bravados sold out
La Moglie Piu Bella only available at Twilight time then sold out has under 80 remaining

I realize the TT site is very low tech and sometimes not as user friendly as it could and should be, but I really have to wonder why they don’t have a dedicated page listing the titles that have sold out. Why should people have to search in vein and/or resort to visiting a message board where others have to find a workaround to glean these crucial updates? What reason is there for a cloak of secrecy about titles that are no longer available? I don’t get it.

I don't think it's a "cloak of secrecy" as much as it is that they're a company in the death throes, maintaining a skeleton staff dedicated solely to the packaging and shipping of their remaining inventory.

Updates and announcements appear to be a thing of the past, sadly.

I think it's more that they're using the same system that SAE does: when an item goes out of print on their site, the listing just disappears completely.

But it’s been going on from the very start of both the SAE and the TT sites, it’s not just a recent omission. Otherwise, your account of the current situation there is no doubt accurate, which is heartbreaking.

Yeah, it’s yet another head scratching mystery to me of things TT has done since their inception. Many people found fault with their business MODEL from the very beginning, but for me I’ve had more trouble with their business PRACTICES. I’ve been at the ground floor of startup businesses over the years and witnessed variations of shooting yourself in the foot and I was reminded of them at times with some of TT’s methods.

Unfortunately, it’s probably all hindsight and academic now as they don’t seem to be coming back. I’m sure going to miss them, warts and all. I can’t think of any surviving label in the world that would ever release a film like THE ADVENTURES OF HAJJI BABA, which I enjoyed immensely. I miss TT already.

I think I just completed my last order from the sale. There are others I want but I don’t feel in as much of a hurry..or any hurry for that matter. This time around I picked three things that I no longer own in any format but enjoy:

Three Coins in the Fountain (Fox) I am a huge admirer of the late Dorothy MacGuire and Jean Peters (who quit acting to become Mrs. Howard Hughes).

Gun Fury Phil Carey is a favorite of mine (I knew him as Asa Buchanan on “One Life to Live” as a kid) and of course the underrated and poorly used Donna Reed. I enjoy Rock Hudson but not the driving force for me here.

My Sister Eileen. Most will remember Betty Garrett from “Laverne & Shirley” but she was a bonafide musical comedy star at MGM and other studios. I love this movie for an early Jack Lemmon vehicle. Particularly I love this for the legendary Janet Leigh gets to sing and dance (as opposed to being menaced in the shower by Norman Bates. The original version of this film with Rosalind Russell and Janet Blair is superior...without the song and dance of course.

Anyone who is a fan of Bob Fosse should also check out My Sister Eileen as he not only did the choreography, but also has a supporting role in the film and does a fun "dance off" musical number in an alleyway which features many of his signature moves.

Picked up these titles this week from SAE
Yes, the shipping was expensive, but I ordered wednesday and they arrived Saturday, perfectly packaged. So excited about this haul.

Watched two of TT's Don Siegel discs this weekend: Edge of Eternity and Flaming Star. Boy oh boy did I love them both, especially the former - that high-altitude finale is SPECTACULAR! Those stunt performers must have been out of their minds!

Have any of you had to contact TT about a missing package before? If so, were they easy to deal with? My package shows it was delivered today but I didn’t get it. Gonna give it an extra day because maybe it was an error and USPS is just running behind, but I’m nervous TT might just tell me I’m SOL because it shows delivered.

That's exactly what they'll do.

I have ordered many, many times from them, and yet I had ONE item, one time go missing, same scenario as you. Showed as delivered, but I never got it.

They completely refused to replace it. I didn't even want a refund, just another item of the same thing. They said nope.

I eventually bit the bullet and just paid and ordered another one AGAIN, and it showed up. In the end, one expensive movie.

Oh man, that really sucks. If it goes that way I guess my days buying TT titles will be over.

First thing you should do is go to your USPS. Delivery is supposed to be scanned when it is delivered. They can bring the item up and get the exact co-ordinates of where it was delivered. USPS is very reliable but once in a while things end up at the wrong address, they'll be able to tell exactly where it was delivered when the driver scanned it.

Unfortunately that won’t work for me because I live in an apartment complex and everything goes to one mail building.
