How's the giant octopus fight? Is there any exciting shark footage? It's another one I'm keeping my eye on over at SAE.
When I was a kid and saw the Tarzan underwater sequences filmed at Silver Springs Florida I sure wanted to go there. The closest I ever got was living in Silver Spring Maryland for a bit. Just wasn’t the same.

I remember a little about going there in the late 60's, then lived less than 30 miles away for a few years in 80's and went there a couple times maybe.

The memories are better left in the mind -- those old school Pre-Disney Florida parks just never quite lived up to what you thought ahead of time and I've likely been to them all at one time or another (the mid to north Florida parks) -- Gatorland, Weeki Wachee Springs, Barnum and Bailey Winter HQ and Circus Training/Circus World, Marineland (south of St Augustine),

Cypress Gardens actually was a bit better than I remembered though it always was more adult themed

I did miss Boardwalk and Baseball when it went under.

As a Florida Resident in those days there was an annual pass to a bunch (6-8 parks) of those Non Disney Parks that cost basically 1.5 admission price per year so it was a really cheap way to see stuff you probably would never would otherwise

It has now been 15 days since placing my order on May 10th. I ordered 23 titles. Only 6 show as still available, 1 has been officially removed from my order, and 16 show as not available to reorder. Orders placed days after mine have shipped. The titles that are my most desired are now unavailable through SAE, but were all available initially. I placed an SAE order on May 12 with 17 titles. One title was cancelled, but the rest arrived a few days ago. I’m now just wishing I had placed my entire order with SAE at the start. It’s just frustrating having to wait weeks or months just to have basically my whole order cancelled.

That’s usually the case. Watching something that was filmed in the late ‘30s/early ‘40s would’ve probably been disappointing even in the late ‘50s when I was dreaming of living in a jungle treehouse and swimming in a crystal clear river before breakfast.

Curious to hear your thoughts!

Almost all of my items are showing as unavailable and although I haven't had any cancellations yet, I'm anticipating it. I've already replaced some of my TT orders on SAE, but 3 of the titles from my TT orders were no longer available on SAE by the time I started worrying about my TT orders not going anywhere.

A number of folks have, like myself, unshipped order #s as low as 720xx placed on May 10th, meanwhile, reports in this thread of orders placed as late as May 20th have been shipped.

We have numerous reports of people after the first day of the sale getting orders shipped and received....but seems like a large number of us have day 1 orders that haven't even shipped yet.

Wouldn't be a big deal other than the cancellations that are also going out. So who had the guts to call TT out on it directly?
Yes, I did. This was their reply:

We are still thousands of orders behind. Your continued patience would be appreciated.

Maybe after I watch it I can also purchase and watch Cat on a Hot Tin Roof for the first time, another glaring hole in my watched movie list

Yes, I did. This was their reply:
I ordered on the 10th; got a cancellation email for 1 title on the 20th with an assurance that: “The remaining titles on your order will be shipped.” As of this post my order is still awaiting shipment. I have no problem waiting but just hope they’re as good as their word on the rest of my order.

Yeah, I haven't heard one word about my own order made on the first night of the sale; at this point I have no idea if I'll receive any of it! I guess at this point I'm just figuring "whatever...."

I spent far too much on that order, since I hadn't planned for this sale at all and wasn't expecting it, so any money refunded would be a good thing, I suppose. I'm just more than a little irked that apparently these orders are NOT being fulfilled in a methodical, first-come-first-serve fashion.

That’s how I feel as well. I’ll wait as long as it takes for my order to ship, just as long as everything I ordered gets shipped. I will have a problem if some titles I ordered get canceled because they were shipped out to others who placed their order after mine.

With lots of stock being eliminated during this sale the only correct way to ship these orders out is in the order they were placed.

Here's the response I got last week:

"Hi Robert!

I have no insight nor control over how orders are being filled at the warehouse.

I know large orders can take 3-4x longer than smaller ones so perhaps the warehouse is trying to clear out the smaller orders first.

That is purely an assumption.

However, your continued patience would be appreciated as the workers are putting a lot of effort into getting out thousands of orders which they are greatly backlogged on.

Thank You

Twilight Time Movies Support
Cinemagistics"

Interesting that after "Twilight Time Movies Support" there is a mention of a company called "Cinemagistics".

"Randy" certainly isn't well versed in customer communication. He said in another e-mail that they don't "micro-manage" the warehouse, but that is a gross understatement - they don't manage their warehouse at all, and no one seems to know what's going on. It's not a matter of "patience", but rather a matter of "confidence" in their desire and ability to fill my order as promised (i.e. in order received, as outlined in their e-mail of May 13).

That guy Randy is beyond horrible ! He is one of the worst customers service representatives ever .
I will no longer deal with him . Dealing with him is a huge waste of time .

I saw it at one point go down to 41 then 15-20 minutes later it was gone

Maybe if more people email them on this issue, they'll wake up and tell their warehouse what to do. I don't see how anyone managing a warehouse can decide that anything other than first-ordered, first-to-ship is what they should be doing during a clearance sale with thousands of orders. TT's strictly numerical order numbers are the simplest order #s you could ask for, so it's not rocket science. On the other hand, TT is going out of business, so they don't seem to be concerning themselves with customer relations anymore.

Well, kind of... they appear to be doing that, PLUS going backwards, with newer orders being shipped first:

I just ordered Peyton Place, Theatre of Blood and I Could Go On Singing off of ebay. Didn't pay very much for them. I might buy Three Coins in a Fountain directly from TT, but their shipping seems to be a nightmare so I might skip it.

I don’t mind waiting, it’s just strange to me that they are shipping out of order. I placed mind on May 10th.

I’m glad I got my first order, though. They did a great job with the packaging and shipping on that.

Still waiting on my order from the 10th to ship as well. 2 of the 6 are no longer in stock, but I haven’t gotten any cancellation notice so far. Really hoping I’m still gonna get My Cousin Rachel - gonna be a bummer if it’s canceled.
