"The Tall Men" is probably one of Fox's old "4K scan, but 2K workflow" masters and might not of been a Cineric-sourced (where the colorist that handled a lot of these CinemaScope remasters worked at) remasters. I thought it looked great when I watched it for the first time last year (I'm due for another re-watch). The sad thing is that many of Fox's under-laying CinemaScope scans look great (good fidelity, grain is rather filmic) it's the damn Blue Max that ruined a lot of 2010-2014 masters.

Agreed: I suspect someone was a frustrated cinematographer trying to make them look as if they were shot today rather than in the 50s-60s.

Nah, the german blu has a vastly different master that looks more like the DVD colour wise so I think TT is from a newer restoration. My TT is on the way but I have the german blu and its colours look nothing like the dvdbeaver TT caps nor does the detail.

must mean that you’re so important they’re ignoring your order specifically.

They also sent out a lengthy email stating that they have been processing orders in FIFO order since last week. Why should I believe one thing and not the other?

I wasn't commenting on fulfillment, just the sheer number of orders. (Mine from 5/11 hasn't shipped.)

I also have the German Blu and thought it looked great when I watched it a few years ago. I actually have quite a few of the western Blus from KOCH and while some look like cream of broccoli soup, others are pretty damn good.

Very happy I got the KOCH DVD of a really old fave western of mine from childhood, Henry Hathaway’s FROM HELL TO TEXAS. It looks certain now there won’t be a Blu upgrade of it so it’s great to have it. I think the U.S. MOD DVD from Fox was flat letterbox, wasn’t it?

OK, so this Tony Rome / Lady in Cement thing is weird. They were down to only 5 copies left at SAE 24 hours ago. Before I went to bed just after midnight, it was still available, and down to 3 copies. I noticed it's still available, and they appear to have only one copy left.

The context is someone suggesting 5000 orders shipping, which is not the case in a day.

Facts prove otherwise and facts also prove that they are not shipping in order even after the update of focussing on day one orders.

Fact is, it has been weeks and day one orders haven't shipped. We are basically at a month at this point.

i seriously am at a loss why this is happening esp given what SAE <50 items have done not only during the sale, but the last several months before the sale.

Cutter's Way was 47 this morning and literally sold 1 copy all day

Even if all the resellers are out of Free Cash, a group of plain old fashioned collectors should have picked up a dozen copies yesterday.

I could imagine SAE sales slowing down with TT catching up on shipping, resellers having already bought stock, and the duration of the ongoing sales, although I take your point re: <50 performance even before the sale.
