Over on the Twilight Time website, it appears that five titles are no longer available to order:

Chato's Land
Garden of Evil
Lawman
Oklahoma Crude
Will Success Spoil Rock Hunter?

And two titles have reappeared on the site with active order buttons:

Gidget
Wuthering Heights

Fed Ex sent me an alert about an hour ago letting me know my May 10 TT order will be delivered by 8PM.

I'll be getting 5 of the 6 titles I ordered. I was refunded for Snake in the Eagles Shadow on May 20 although I was able to order that and 2 other TT titles from SAE on May 24.

I'll be working all weekend so I won't get a chance to watch anything but I do have Mon and Tues off for some serious lounging and movie watching.

At Sae

Cutters Way only has 44 remaining then it is sold out

Zelig has less than 75 of remaining them it is sold out as well

Looks as if both will sell out very fast now . Very possible today bit if not likely by this weekends end .

Also closer to selling out are . Beat the Devil , The Seven Ups , Alamo Bay & The Happy Ending

Ugg, I've never heard of Cutters Way. Read about it, went to SAE & put in another order for another 9 titles. This is will be my 5th order since March. This time mostly blind buys based on comments throughout this thread, except for a couple films which I am not fond of, but might in the future regret not buying now.

Blind buys: Cutters Way, Dragonwyck, Inserts, Yanks, Bandolero

Not favourites: Bobby Dearfield, Gidget, The Fortune Cookie, & The Snake Pit

Got here a little under an hour ago. I'm a happy camper. Good luck to everyone who's still waiting for their May 10th orders.

My May 10 order of over 20 titles shipped, and it is complete. About ten of those titles have since sold out.

Meanwhile, I have another order, from May 16, of 13 titles - where none of them have sold out yet. So, I planned that first order well.

Any of my fellow Canucks been contacted yet about duty fees? FedEx weirdly left me a voicemail informing me that they will get back to me about duty. Never had to pay duty on TT orders before but this was a big order...

I opted to go with USPS in hopes that I am hit with zero duty. They squeak through sometimes. FedEx and UPS have terrible fees for clearing stuff.

Hmmm, I'm sure I would have used USPS if the option was presented to me... In my haste I guess I must have chosen FedEx. Thought it was a little pricey!

I always use USPS to try and avoid customs ... I always pay customs with FEDEX, DHL, etc so avoid them if I can.

I ignored the Twilight Time sale for a couple of days until I realized that you could go USPS - and then I only made an order of 8 titles, which seemed to be the shipping price 'sweet spot'. Buying internationally, you really have to examine the shipping charges carefully

I’m going to have the same issue with FedEx in Canada, I also got the voicemail. I went back to check why I chose FedEx by creating a similar order at TT and proceeding to the checkout... it’s because FedEx was the cheapest option on checkout, about $5 less than USPS. But I should have paid more attention and remembered never to use FedEx. I don’t object to import fees, I do object to the ridiculous service fees on top of them. I should have just paid $5 more and gone with USPS.

I watched the TT release of Cinderella Liberty starring James Caan & Marsha Mason last night. There isn't much on this site about it, it didn't even get a review on its release. It usually gets compared to Hal Ashby's The Last Detail starring Jack Nicholson since both are about life in the navy, based upon novels by the same author, and released in the same year.
Cinderella Liberty is a somewhat more sentimental film. James Caan gives a very natural performance as a man who just wants to do right, who sees people in need & tries to help. He is becoming one of my favorite actors from the 1970's.

It is a very gritty 70's picture, with a lot of nudity early on, that might keep me from recommending it to people who might otherwise enjoy it very much. I'm thinking about my mother or my 90 year old grandmother & her 92 year old sister who live together (it's like Whales of August but fortunately no one is blind); they would love how Caan's character shows real self-sacrifing love but they would turn it off early on.

I don't think it is as good a film as The Last Detail, but it is trying to do different things. I have a definite fondness for the films of Hal Ashby, and they always seem to reveal more with another viewing. I'm not sure if Cinderella Liberty is something I will rewatch many times.

The film looks really good. 20th Century Fox took care of this one. Still comparing it to The Last Detail, from Columbia/Sony, it isn't as dark and grainy as that picture due to the different filming methods. The blu-ray may be even be a bit nicer looking than The Hot Rock which is another Fox TT title I watched recently.

Interesting comments and i sort of got this vibe from watching clips on you tube. Like the guy in the bar i ordered this as my one last order with Bobby Deerfield and Alamo Bay, more to hoover up movies from my favourite actors rather than high expectations for the movies themselves. With all the postal issues thought the smart play was SAE. Eh no after 21 days in transit package only arrived in London airport yesterday .

Captain from Castile is no longer available for sale on Twilight Time's website. Also, those stray copies of Gidget and Wuthering Heights that popped up on the TT website yesterday appear to have sold.

One other mention: the Twilight Time website has recently added the DVD-only release of To Whom It May Concern: Ka Shen's Journey to the close-out sale. It originally retailed for $19.95, and is now priced at $3.95.

Got a shipping notice for my order from 5/10! 9 items - no cancellations - coming by FedEx (since, as noted earlier by others, in that specific situation it was cheaper than USPS) so, hoping I don't get hit too hard re: fees/taxes/duties which I hadn't thought about at the time. Sigh. We'll see!
