I just got a shipping notice for my order from that first night as well. Seems like I'm getting all five of the titles I ordered.

I also just got a shipping notification for my order placed on the first day of the sale. None of the 32 items in my order were removed.

My order from May 10th arrived Saturday (Bandolero!, Warlock and The Chairman). I received both a "your order has shipped email" and a "your order has been delivered" email about 20 minutes after they arrived. LOL.

Good to see that larger orders from the 10th are beginning to see some movement. Still waiting on my first order (#731xx) of 20 items to ship. No cancellation notices yet, so that's a good sign...

The copy of The Egyptian on Japanese blu-ray I ordered arrived today.
I also posted this in the thread dedicated to that title for the info of anyone else looking to get it as an alternative to the OOP TT release which is very expensive on the secondary market.
It plays in my region A machine. It also plays in my region B machine.
Run time is 139:44
It only has the 2 channel audio.
There are Japanese subtitles. They are removable.
There are no special features.
I see a lot of graininess in the picture. Some reviews of the Twilight Time release from 9 years ago, say there is grain but that some DNR may have been applied to that release. This doesn't look like what some people have said about some of the European releases being from older masters. It does say on the back of the case in English copyright 2018 20th Century Fox Entertainment.
I don't have a computer to play it in so I can only guess that what it says about it being MPEG-2 AVC is correct. I don't know if there is a way to find out from my players.

Just arrived, a small order of 10 TT titles from SAE, shipped May 28 via USPS (at the cheaper shipping rate without tracking). Customs label accurately states value at $149.50US (price before shipping). I was not charged anything by Canada Customs.

My first sale order from TT arrived today, so happy! Two titles, so it's probably my last order. It was shipped May 22nd. So all in all it's regular transit time to Europe.
Also, definitely stated the full amount this time for me as well, as someone advised way back and Harol, they can't write a generic figure, so I expect to pay import charges on the two big orders that are still awaiting shipment.
It also lists the name of the movies, so nosey postmen can have a field day.

Yup, most of my SAE orders have been rolling in without customs issues, although one of my larger SAE orders is now waiting at the post office for me to pay fees, and I just know the import fees on my TT Fedex orders are going to be brutal, but in happier news...

Nothing happier than seeing a pile of 3 SAE boxes outside my apartment door... and to discover that they included extra empty clear cases for the titles that had blue ones! Now that's customer service!

So TT has to get all their orders out before the end of June right? It will be about a month since I placed my order at this point.

I don;t guess there's really a reason they'd have to. They can't sell any more after July 1 if SAE now owns the items. I'm not sure there would be a reason TTM couldn't still pay the 3-4 person warehouse crew to keep shipping ASSUMING there's any orders left to ship by then,

I'd actually like to know the number of people who work that warehouse. If it's true that warehouse existed solely for TTM orders and most nonsale time I doubt that got more than 50-100 units of orders a day even with the nonTT movies. How many people would that take full or part time? I'd bet when TT discs were full price, they didn't even sell 100 units daily except when new release day came around once a month (way back when)

TT's fulfillment center is Our Service Works. Their website is here.
https://ourserviceworks.com

According to their LinkedIn page, they have between 11-50 employees, 7 of whom are on LinkedIn. They are currently not hiring.

TT is not their only client. They will still be in business after TT shuts down (which blows apart the argument that TT doesn't care because they are going out of business).

Among the promises made on the OSW webpage:

"OSW forms the critical link between your brand and delighted customers."

"The passion, tone and voice you’ve created for your brand should be replicated in every customer experience by phone, email and chat. Our customer care services are designed to reinforce your brand and build customer loyalty through every interaction, every day."

"OSW’s combined office and warehousing inventory management and storage facility is centrally located in Carrollton, TX, a suburb in Dallas, TX, where we proudly deliver the most advanced warehousing and inventory management solutions. Our state-of-the-art warehouse is staffed with well-trained, highly motivated employees who seek perfection in fulfilling every order."

"The most demanding aspect of order fulfillment and shipping logistics is coordinating order management and inventory management.

"OSW constantly monitors your inventory and provides you with that same online insight into your inventory. Our systems interface directly with your website proving up-to-the minute inventory availability ensuring your customers see what’s available for shipment day, or within a reasonable timeframe afterward. Expert inventory storage and management is critical to both customer satisfaction and your profitability.

Our Service Works:
Sends inventory alerts based on your specific criteria
Provides 24/7 online, real-time access to all inventory information
Forecasts inventory need and provides inventory turnover stats"

So I don't blame TT so much for the lack of service, I blame OSW for over-promising and under-delivering. I do think that TT could have taken a firmer hand in holding OSW to it's promises of fulfillment and customer service. And if I were in the market for a fulfillment house, OSW would be the last place I'd go.

That actually makes a lot more sense. Maybe/Probably/Obviously I misunderstood what group had TTM as a sole client - maybe that was Cinemagistics? If they were running their own warehouse, why run it from 2000 miles away from their HQ in WA.

Probably addressed a ways back, but...

I watched Melvin and Howard tonite...good film...but did anyone else notice the ghosting in some scenes, most notable in close-ups...like the title characters in the truck at the beginning, or when Melvin and his wife split up after he buys the boat, or in the end courtroom scene?

Idk the whole situation is kind of like meh to me. I ran a shipping and receiving warehouse for over 6 years. We had product from academy bass pro cabelias 15 different casinos. And a few other t shirt companies as well. We got everything out in a day of orders coming in. I made sure to keep everything on track. Even for the black friday stuff we dealt with we got it turned around super fast. And I only had about 15 employees under me. Yes we didnt not pick items but we did for the casinos. Most the time everything was in orders of divisible by 5. But we would ship out to all the bass pros every day. So idk how they r running that warehouse but it sounds like they dont have a hand on organization. I should take it over lol

There were some comments when it came out that it was a very poor transfer. I don't own it myself, but I think I saw a complaint somewhere that it is one if the worst looking of Twilight Time's releases.
It is a title licensed from Universal, and often their transfers are not new but just older ones done for dvd.

From order numbers, they had over 5,000 orders in just the first 48 hours. (Someone else with a recent order # can gauge the total orders so far.) It was far more than they expected. A closing out sale can be a different animal than planned upstaffing for Black Friday, etc. They responded to the volume presumably within the scope of their ability by increasing operations to 7 days a week... and prioritizing orders as they believed would help for volume efficiency, whether or not we think that was a good decision. That’s nice that you ran a warehouse... I’ve been involved in warehouse operations as well, but I don’t think there’s any need to disparage their operation without having all of the facts about their volumes, etc, Mr. xSpankyxDuckx.

We never upstaffed for black friday lol I usually cut people down. Trained them and had everything organized thru out the whole year. Was able to get my people to pick and ship no less then 20 orders an hour. Not saying they aren't doing everything in their capability but it really seems as if they were un organized in the first place. If it's this difficult for them to get caught up. But who knows their process over there.
