-> I stand corrected, TT just informed me: "The only shipping that will be available will be FedEx International Shipping after June 19th." So it's still possible. ;-) |

I find it pretty sad that they still have a timeframe of "2 weeks" to ship orders that were placed in teh first 2 days. That puts us at 2 months. The math just still doesn't add up. Good to see some transparency about Alexander the Great, but there were others that reported cancelations post the no more cancelations message...so still not sure. Sorry to hear that you missed out as well. Thankfully Alexander is still available for under $10 (not including shipping) on the SAE website. |

A couple weeks ago there were a few brief comments about director Delmer Daves melodramatic films for Warner's in the early 60's. I just noticed on TCM's schedule that one of them is playing tomorrow, Parrish with Troy Donahue, Claudette Colbert, Karl Malden, and Connie Stevens. It is on at 11:45 am Pacific time.
It is in the middle of a few tobacco themed films, with Bright Leaf before, and Cold Turkey after. |

I confess that that was the first thing that popped into my mind. However, they did say "will be sold for their original release price of $29.95". Which leaves out The Egyptian and a handful of other early titles. The first five or six Sony titles were originally priced at $34.95, and I believe The Egyptian was originally priced at $39.95.

All seven titles from my final TT order, placed a month ago, have shipped. I’m now completely done with TT and am happy to have supported them for years. I was there from the very first release, not someone who just jumped on the going out of business sale bandwagon. I have no complaints about TT nor how long it took to send these Blus. I’m sorry they are folding, but I’m glad to have been a loyal customer of theirs from start to finish.
I wish everyone the best of luck in getting your orders fulfilled. |
