In my experience their newsletters are sent out a bit late so you might want to keep a eye on this thread or TT's Facebook page.

Does ScreenArchives ever give out coupons or discounts? Maybe even a sale?

I'd like to pick up the following without having to spend like $200

Christine (Pre-Order)
Experiment In Terror
Fury (Pre-Order)
Rapture
Swamp Water
Wayward Bus

well, even if they did, it wouldn't be for Twilight Time releases I think.
Those, because they are limited editions, don't get any discount ever.

There have been a couple of 10% off coupons (I think) for having a titles in your wish list. Since then I've always tried to keep a few titles there.

because many people who read this thread are interested in the Columbia film library it should be noted that 2 Columbia classics are coming to bd in a double feature bd from Mill Creek on March 26th--
Lilith and Ship of Fools.
I made a thread about this release earlier, so look for it to comment on this upcoming release.
wonder if that means more classics will now be coming from Mill Creek also.

Those of us who love classic films will welcome their release from great companies like TT, Olive Films, Criterion, Shout, Mill Creek and rest. Catalog sales increased 25% last year and we are seeing a great deal of new catalog titles for format. I do believe that people who purchase catalog classic titles are more informed about the industry than an average consumer and seek to own classic titles offered in the best presentation possible .

I only recall SAE sending out a "wishlist" coupon once and it was over the summer last year.

Good luck on the coupon but spending that amount of money happens when you allow a number of titles you are interested in to build up on your "plan to buy list."

I can only recall the Wish List 10% coupon once as well...

I just want some clarification on Pre-Orders.
In particular for Christine.
Since it's slated for release on March 12.
The Pre-Order goes live on Feb. 12, correct?
I think I recall it being mentioned once, earlier in this thread but there's no mention of it in the original post regarding pre-order dates, and it's not on the SAE site or any of their emails up to this point.

Canada For Nicholas and Alexandra fans...

...some tantalizing comments on TT's FB wall:
Quote:
"...our policy is usually, if the distributors (SAE) receive the product prior to release date, they send them out early. No point in waiting...it is very likely in the case of N & A that they will go out at least a few days in advance...as to how we licensed it from Columbia, there's no big story. It's a film of which the TT team is fond, and Columbia / Sony's wonderful restoration team had just done a superb new transfer, and bob's your uncle, here it is!"
Another 4k job? That does seem to be Sony's mantra these days...

Best I've been able to do is spend $100.00 on TT blus when they run the 'free DVD' promo with that purchase (which I've seen them do twice), and flipped said DVD on eBay. I drove a $110.00 purchase of Egyptian, Pal Joey and Hello Birdie down to just under $90.00 that way.

The pain is you need to hit $100.00 and their disks are 30. It was the one instance I could find myself satisfied the Egyptian blu was $40. I'll build another want list the next time they do it after releasing Major Dundee which is a 2 BD set at $40 as well.
