Usually those one-off finds tend to be priced $30 instead of sales price -- what was your price?

Pending is good -- SAE generally runs a pretty tight inventory and are far less prone to selling things they don't have in stock, but it has happened
Apparently, SAE has rediscovered a cache of The Hot Rock blu-rays. There are at least 50 copies now available for sale.

I imagine this won't be the last time that additional stock of various titles magically reappears.

Could be magic though this was telegraphed before Memorial Day.

HOT ROCK and LONG HOT SUMMER were both listed as temporarily OOS in a May SAE email after they apparently sold out at SAE. It was odd label compared to other titles just listed SOLD OUT. Long Hot Summer came back into stock sometime in mid-June and Hot Rock returned a couple weeks ago. i thought I mentioned it in this thread, but it was probably in one of the other 10 TT threads scattered around the forum

They seemed to know there were other copies coming -- not sure how many or why it was temporary, but good for those who needed them.

There was a little speculation that these may have been a couple of the titles that were short printed and the 2nd pressings were already in the works based on those odd emails from SAE months ago. Another guess there were some boxes (unknown quantity) stored off-site somewhere and maybe the 'ownership' of those boxes were in dispute b/w TTM and SAE. Neither SAE or TTM confirmed the temp OOS comment so it's all complete guessing game

EXODUS (1960) now at 4 copies

I hear there was a stash in a safety deposit box somewhere and Brian Jamieson had to be hypnotized using the words "Afghanistan banana stand" in order to retrieve them.

No wonder it didn't open, was using "Pakistan Banana Stand".

Exodus was on sale for years without selling out. I'm shocked they are still not sold out.

Not worth it, IMO

My final order from TT, order #814xx, placed 50 seconds before the store was supposed to close for TT titles at midnight on July 7th, shipped today.

Once my final TT and SAE orders arrive, I'll take a picture of my collection acquired since May 10th. All things considered for a latecomer, I made out quite well. Enjoying every title as I started watching my arriving orders, in the end I ordered every available title that I felt even a passing amount of interest for. I guess I'll have to start watching eBay for my wishlist!

Two weeks ago, one of the titles I missed out on came back in stock, and I decided to wait and see whether SAE was going to change anything in their current prices. Two days later The Hot Rock came back in stock, I checked and it was gone, so I decided to make an order for some titles which I'd heard many were interested in, some of which were noted as low quantity. Then last week I checked and the item I missed out on came back, so I decided to make sure it didn't vanish again:

And here's my larger order:

While none of these are from my must-have pile, unlike Bertha, I've heard good things on most of them, they all have 4K transfers, and all have between some and quite a few extras, so they were the best value for money at this point. Plus I really wanted to make sure none of these passed me by.

I received an email from Twilight Time today that one of the items I ordered on July 1 could not be fulfilled and I've been refunded $10.71. It wasn't a must-have title for me, but I now have it in my SAE cart along with two others. I'm on the fence about pulling the trigger, though. So many sales right now it's hard to keep up.

Anyway, it seems that they are still not sure what they have in stock.

What? Didnt they say that all orders were complete, just awaiting shipment and no out of stock situations will present themselves?

Has the rest of your order placed on July 1 shipped yet? I'm curious because I also have an order from July 1 that I haven't received, but my final TT order placed on July 6 arrived today ...

According to Fedex tracking info, it shipped yesterday for scheduled delivery tomorrow. All but one of the 10 titles in the order were fulfilled.

Geez ...

Well at least it's still available at SAE. (sigh)

Based on the order numbers, it seemed as if TT was having high order volumes even until the end, and especially on July 1st when they added a lot of titles back into their system.

In theory, the same thing could happen with any online store experiencing high order volumes with low quantity items, where if two people are ordering at the same, it lets both orders through.

It's also not the usual circumstance for TT, otherwise they might have chosen a different ecommerce platform in the first place. Other online stores that know they're going to be dealing in limited quantities and rushes of orders have carts that reserve your in-cart items for a limited time.

I don't know how I lucked out with being fast enough on the 1st to get the limited quantity items I most wanted - Miss Sadie Thompson 3D, Cat Ballou, and Hound of the Baskervilles, plus a handful of others as well. (Still waiting for them to arrive, but they've shipped.)

In other news, there's still 4 copies of Exodus over at SAE... It is #2 on their weekly Blu-ray titles.

I received a box from TT this morning with an order of two items that I had forgotten I had ordered, placed same time as three other orders with them, and the first of two items was actually delivered a month and a half ago, and shipped at the same time.
For a moment I thought I missed the email telling me many items sold out from my order.
So I am now still waiting for two big orders placed on the same day, that are in transit.

Otto Preminger's Exodus is now sold out at SAE.

And I just received notification that my last order from TT, placed on July 1, has shipped complete.

The latest shipping update from the TT website. They forgot to change the “Update as of” date, but since I’ve been watching the page, I believe (and logically it makes sense) that the update was made today:

Quote:
Order date - Estimated Ship Date
5/10-5/31 - All orders have shipped
6/1-6/30 - All orders have shipped
7/1-7/24 - 99.9% of orders placed in July have shipped. Remaining will go out Monday 7/27.
