Also, you are moving titles from the original chronological listing into a Sold Out post? Would it not make more sense for posterity to leave the original chronological listings, and have the sold out post be something separate? It would also be nice if the different lists were alphabetical as well, but especially the sold out one, if the chronological ones reflect the original release order.
The latest SAE email is honestly not worth reading. They didn't bother to update the list of available titles properly. Several titles that they marked as "Very Low Quantity" actually sold out weeks ago. Their site is so disorganized, it's hard to track what is and isn't available.

And apparently, The Seven Ups just sold out within the last few minutes!

Okay, so I went through the remaining inventory at SAE, and updated the list of Twilight Time titles still available to purchase. There are 190 total. I also took the time to indicate which of the items are films released by 20th Century-Fox. This sub-list has dwindled down to 63 titles, now that Black Widow (1987) and The Seven-Ups have sold out.

If you want to match my list against the SAE website, then pull up all the Twilight Time product and sort by "price ascending." Hope that helps!

FWIW, I was looking at my on-line collection and noticed that several TT titles that sold out at the TT website are showing as sold out here, even though you can still get them at SAE.

Here's an example:
https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Beat-...lu-ray/229146/

I'd hate for someone to overpay for something they think is OOP and unavailable when it really isn't.

I also noticed this and thought the same as you. I just spent over an hour going through each TT title in the database and submitting corrections on status. Hopefully the sold out status will be removed from the listing in a day or so.

It seems one individual changed the status of about 50+ titles to sold out when they weren't (there were so many incorrect titles I lost count). I can only suppose the individual did this based on sold out status at the TT website, not including SAE. Considering the large amount of time it took me to submit corrections, I am a bit pissed...but I know the individual who made all these changes thought he was being helpful...it must have taken him just as long to make all these changes as it took me to correct them.

And as jmclick pointed out above, already some titles may have gone to sold out based on the "cart game" count at SAE. I am only going to update the first page of posts based on official counts from SAE since Nick is no longer around to post accurate data on facebook or to PM me as he used to. The SAE site is a bit of a mess indeed.

I don't know why it's even worth changing a database entry to SOLD OUT. We don't do it to older releases when a mainstream title gets re-released.

I was removing these on a handful of titles yesterday too, glad someone saved me the effort of doing more

Yeah, I'd agree, I don't think it's really appropriate to put that into the title field.

Many other companies don't have a limited 3,000 model like TT did. Though, are the Indicator titles on here actually listed as SOLD OUT? Looking at two of the Harryhausen sets I know are SOLD OUT, there is no mention they are SOLD OUT. I can only imagine the amount of work and struggle it is to keep on top of what Twilight Time films are SOLD OUT, because the SAE e-mails are close to useless. I can imagine it would be just as much of a struggle to do what oildude has done for the TT thread for those who are keeping the Indicator thread updated.

I assume it's because, unlike mainstream releases, these are limited editions. I've always found it helpful when one of TT's titles has the "Sold Out" information included. It's a quick way to know if it's still available or not.

Actually, the "cart game" doesn't affect SAE's inventory count. Quantities are only (and immediately) reduced from their inventory once a checkout is complete.

I think it's just that they're doing a poor job on their emails. I've always found the website itself to be accurate.

Except that so many of them were wrong, so it may not have been as helpful to you (or anyone else looking at them) as you'd think.

Here's another example, Target (or other retailer) exclusives that are limited quantities. Or collector's editions that are limited in quantity. Those aren't listed as SOLD OUT.

Well, now they've been fixed, so that's a moot point.

So what?

Twilight Time is the only label that operated exclusively on a limited edition model, so it was always easier to track when a title had truly sold out or not than with something like a retailer exclusives (especially since in the earlier days, Nick would let us know which titles were gone for good). It makes more sense to include it than to not, provided that it's accurate--and evidently, now it is. If you take it away, you're losing important information. How does that benefit anyone?

Some time within the past few days. I had updated my availability sheet less than a week ago, and it was still for sale through SAE at that point in time.

Come on guys, I paid 30 bucks for Absolute Beginners when it first showed up, and it's just sitting there on sale at $5, which is about the price of a burger meal. You'll regret not getting this one in HD, since it could be the only time it's ever available on disc. I saw it in a cinema and was really taken with its visual style. Didn't hurt that Bowie was in it, either!

I cannot seem to get enough of these moody, gothic, period pieces from the old Hollywood era: Gaslight, My Cousin Rachel, The Sprial Staircase were all first time watches for me in the last few months and all were top notch.

Which other great films can be categorized similarly? (Other than Rebecca, of course, which is great.)

Check out Dragonwyk for sure.

Apologies if something like this has already been discussed. If that's the case just ignore this post.

I'm in Scandinavia waiting for a TT package that was shipped out back in May. Since tracking information is only available for part of the journey – per TT support "anyone who shipped via First-Class USPS is only going to see tracking to the last port the package left in the U.S." – I'm not getting any new updates, and in general I'm not really seeing any signs that it's about to arrive at my doorstep.

Now obviously, I should expect considerably longer shipping times during all of this chaos – and also, as this is my first order with TT, I don't have anything to compare to. Still, it's been at least 11 weeks. Yet the TT helpdesk believes that my package will eventually arrive, while notifying me that most International customers are waiting over 8 weeks for their package to arrive. "Some 12 weeks", they say. So really, I just wanted to hear if anyone is in the same – or a similar – boat? What are your experiences? How would you proceed? I personally think it's fair to ask for a refund at this point, but then again, maybe I should just be patient for a little while longer.

I'm based in the UK and made a couple of orders from TT in May and they took between 4-5 weeks to arrive, not an exact comparison with Scandinavia but 11 weeks seems excessive even with what's been happening in the world this year.
I've also made some orders from S.A.E. for some TT titles in the past couple of months and they are reaching the UK in 3 weeks.
