Decent. They just re-tinted the blue fog to red. Gives it a more hellish look, but robs it of it's ghostly eeriness.

George Lucas came over to my house at one point and drove off with my car when I bought Star Wars on LD. I was okay with it, because I am a true fan and will pay anything for anything."

I get so tired of hearing that ridiculous argument. Hey, since we're on it, lets go back to paying extreme prices for anything colored purple, because back in the day it was the only color you could dye cloth, was extracted in tiny amounts in a very specific part of the world, and so could only be afforded by the wealthy. Only true fans of purple buy purple, because back in the day X guy used to pay Y price for it! lol

Hyperbole works both ways, folks.
Exactly. You don't want it? You don't buy it. You don't want it at that price? You don't buy it. Simple as that. Nobody's forcing anybody to buy Blu-ray discs, and it's not like they're a basic requirement of existence in modern society (unless you're obviously a hopeless incurable Blu-ray addict like everyone who posts in the Twilight Time forum!).

Now the price of gasoline is the real scam that people should be complaining about. That is, unless you don't drive a gasoline-fueled vehicle.

Canada Look on the bright side...

...Blu-ray is probably the last hard media format you'll have any deliberation over regarding the value of 'in-your-hands', permanent ownership.

4k's DRM will probably be locktight with everything residing somewhere in the cloud...at least for as long as the right holders so choose.

But it's like you said, if you don't want it badly enough, you won't pay what is being asked for it.

So stop driving.

I love that justification BTW. The movie distributors are allowed to rook us, but the oil companies aren't. lmao!!

Double-standards, anyone?

Ahhh, but red is the colour of passion. I think I also detect a bit of pink/purple in there too behind the grille. I like this variation on the original theme...

Actually I know quite a few people who refuse to own a car. They walk, ride a bike, take a bus, maybe splurge for a taxi, and completely avoid the aggravation of paying at the pump. If you happen to live in New York City or a few other major metropolises that have decent public transportation, there is absolutely no need to own a car. If you're stuck in the middle of nowhere, you're stuck paying what the market will bear when the sellers know you've got no other option.

Be sure to voice your concerns to Fox and Sony, the actual movie rights owners who are allowing Twilight Time to sell their product at no risk to Fox or Sony and not necessarily caring whether Twilight Time makes enough profit to keep doing it. After a year and a half, it seems to have been working to some extent. When are you opening your video distribution company?

Really dislike the font they went with on The Fury. The one used on the original poster is far better.

Looks like it was done with an Etch-A-Sketch. At first glance I thought they had actually found a film called The Furmm

This is how I see it: Twilight Time Blu-rays are one-of-a-kind, which means they're special. Pricey? Perhaps a bit. But you know what, that gives them a "premium" aura and anything that's premium is to be cherished and enjoyed as such. Does this make any sense? Maybe not to everyone. I just know that I have "special", one-of-a-kind Blurays I didn't find in some dump bin and they look gorgeous and, actually, I'm considering putting them on their own separate shelves. I spent $45 on a meal at Appleby's and walked away feeling guilty. I could've bought a couple of good Blu-rays with that money. If it's a movie you love and it's only available in limited quantities, skip the bar tab for one weekend or take mass transit to the mall to save on gas and get yourself that Blu-ray.

TT tiltles are no better than Mill creek. the effort put into them is miniscule, they just licensee the title and slap on a disc. the only thing "special" about them is their price.

now don't get me wrong, they don't have a bad business model. They've brought some truly obscure titles to the table and I commend them. but they're really not THAT great of a distributor. Right now they're just mostly sucking up titles from sony where the master has already been done and just slap what they have on a disc (look at the NOTLD debacle)

I will say this: as opposed to most people in this thread, I've done a complete 180 on TT this morning. As long as the extras are included for the releases that they are doing, I have no problems paying a premium for these discs. As someone who regularly pays $20 for a LLL or Intrada soundtrack release, I'm getting that plus the film in HD. If it means getting a movie that otherwise wouldn't be released, I'll pay it. However, if the release is barebones when extras are readily available, I'm going to be pissed.

Regardless, that's GREAT that they're starting to include the extras and TT has just begun to pop up on my radar.

Anyway...figured that might be refreshing, considering all the *****ing and moaning in this thread.

ummm, no I don't EVER shop at fast food. I'm usually the cheap ass who finds groupons for solid restaurants or *GASP actually COOKS his own food (I make most of my own food from scratch so I don't go out to eat a whole lot)

Well, I'm not thinking of only meals. I can pay $90 at the drop of a hat for a ticket to a football game or a concert. Those things last 3 hours or so and it's over ... for good. So when you think of it that way, $30 isn't so bad after all ... and you get to watch your bluray as many times as you like ... whenever you like.

EDIT: ... and I'm generally very frugal when it comes to blurays too. I make exceptions for TT and Criterion though ... although I still watch for sales.

I don't know if you're being facetious or not (or why you would be), but again, go re-read the threads. Plenty of usage of words like 'scum', 'despicable', 'scumbag', '*******', etc.
