Twilight Time should try to pry away Double Indemnity from Universal. That's the type of movie where it's commercial enough to turn a profit on a Blu-ray but not enough for a larger studio to be interested.

I'm also in agreement with the poster who suggested the original 1950's "Death of a Salesman". I don't remember that movie ever having been released in any home video format that I know of.
I'd rather have the 1985 Dustin Hoffman version.

Double Indemnity is rumored to be released September 4th this year. https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...niversal+slate

which means we won't have to pay $35 for it!

And it won't be bare bones either

Of course it won't be as good a release as http://www.amazon.co.uk/Double-Indem...0555571&sr=8-2

Hooray--we're up in the sticky area! Thanks.

It looks like there are going to be a lot of high profile titles, as well as some more obscure treasures, that will be released through Twilight Time in the coming year. I'm looking forward to it...

Should show up here soon as a pre-order, both steel and regular.

I'm hoping they release some Preminger, they've said they're fans so that's a good sign. Laura? Advise & Consent?
You mentioned Preminger.. How about Exodus, and The Cardinal.

I have to be honest. If Krull is passed onto TT I would pay $40 for it.

Being a Columbia production, it's no doubt 'on the table'. The only question is when. Have you suggested it via their FB wall? I know they are tracking those requests.

Is that movie any good? I was curious about it way back in the early 80s, but it got such bad reviews I skipped it. It was a pretty big budget production as I recall. Is that a Columbia movie?

YES, it's easily the best fantasy film ever made after the LOTR trilogy. . It paved the way for other sci-fi and fantasy films in the last 25 years. On top of that it easily has one of the best soundtracks I have ever heard. The sad part is that Peter Yates just recently died and I was hoping he'd get to approve his film for BD.

I think may need to do that. The DVD looks mediocre (still have it) and is not quite framed right.

I'd have to strongly disagree on that one. Krull is a mess, the movie is choppy and a lot of it just doesn't plain make sense. It bombed with both critics and audiences and arguably set the genre back that had been gaining momentum with movies like Conan and Dragonslayer.

I wasn't confused by any of the plot. That's why we have opinions.

Me and you both. I don't care what other's say about this movie, I enjoy it and since the day I first saw it in theater's back in 83. It's fun, some action, cheesie special effects and with actors that were just starting. How can't you not like Liam Nesson in there or Robbie Coltrane

+1.

"My name is no jest, beanpole. It's all very well to have a short name when you're twenty feet tall, but small people need large names to give them weight."

"Your actions give you weight, my friend. "

There are quite a number of movies I could see fitting in with TT release style. Movies that are mostly "cult following" and would not sell in great numbers in a general release. Krull being one of them. A lot of the cheesie scifi/fantasy movies from the 80's fit. It's not like they were HUGE sellers on DVD anyway.
