i saw The Thing at the Tampa Bay Center Twin. The other movie playing that weekend was E.T., which had a line running the length of the mall. My brother, bud Mike and I were three of maybe 20 people watching The Thing, and it immediately became a favorite of the three of us. I fondly recall people in the theater gasping in horror and saying things like "that's sick" or "grossssssss". Still brings a smile to my face.

Experiment in Terror for me with the Christine pre-order. There're more titles I want but at $30 + shipping...

I've been debating between Cover Girl, Swamp Water, BB&C or N&A to go along with my order of Christine.

I think I will finally bite on The Big Heat. I've been debating whether to pick it up lately and this seems like a reasonable time. I may grab a Fox title or Olive's Cyrano de Bergerac just to round out the order, too.

I have most everything I want for now... (I was a TT completist until the NotLD debacle, now I'm just getting the ones I really, really want.)

I'll order The Fury with it, though... love that movie.

The Big Heat is a great movie and the Blu-ray looks fantastic! Great choice .

Thats the only one I own too, $34 is steep but worth it for this very fine film.

I did rent the DVD of The Big Heat from Netflix before the TT BD was released and while I liked it quite a bit I wasn't sure if I wanted to own it. But now, of the titles I've seen, it's the only TT release I find myself wanting to watch again. Well, aside from the upcoming Christine and The Driver.

Nothing but Christine. I don't care about anything else TT has except for maybe Enemy Mine but I'm not that big of a fan to pay that high of a price for it.


I'm not talking about $5 but $14.00 the most.

I will get both The Fury and Christine. Debating getting Those Magnificent Men and Their Flying Machines. Never seen that one.

Can someone who has ordered from Screen Archives before tell me when you pre-order, do they immediately charge your card, or do they wait and charge you right before you order is sent?

Already have Experiment in Terror in my cart to make things smoother..but I plan to order it plus Christine & The Fury as well...like you there are plenty more that I've been eyeing like Bell, Book & Candle, and also The Wayward Bus. Just have to save a little here and there!

they charge when they ship

They will pre auth your card and usually falls off after a few days. Then once they ship te order the transaction processes fully.

General rule of thumb is three weeks to a month ahead of time.
