When are they releasing the Blob 88 and the Hitcher with isolated score?

At least it was The Fury and not Christine. That's being sent in a separate package.
For sure, at first I thought you meant Christine!

no there is a menu, there is just no cursor to make a selection. ive had this issue with every TT release but have been able to fix it by changing some of my players settings until now. every release i own (the most recent being Experiment in Terror) works, but with these two im getting nothing. i wonder what it is about TTs menus that causes the error in the first place

Were you home at 4? Perhaps it was left there then by UPS, and subsequently stolen.

Yikes, then you might have been screwed - I'm sure replacing The Fury won't be a problem, as it isn't OOP yet.

I've had UPS deliver packages, on more than one occasion, to neighbors. When it was intentional the driver at least left a note stating where the package was. Other times the package was delivered to the wrong address and no note.

I also had a package go missing about a year ago and UPS wouldn't do anything about it. They wanted the seller to initiate a claim. I tried initiating a claim but i received a call from my local UPS office stating they were cancelling the search for the package since I was the buyer and not the seller. What a load of crock.

What's the deal with AT LONG LAST LOVE? Will it be available everywhere later like Grapes of Wrath?

The easy answer is "We don't know". But personally, I suspect not, although at some point, I could see a reprint of this Blu-ray possibly being sold directly via FoxConnect.

At Long Last Love differs from other Fox titles sold via SAE in that it isn't merely a resurrected "Studio Classic" with a wider release planned later. Before this edition, ALLL was never available on home video (legally), not even VHS. And Fox isn't deeply invested in this release either...they've handed over their master to TT for all other production, manufacturing, packaging, and distribution...likely making it available initially in more limited numbers to test the waters regarding its wider market viability. I mean, the questions on Fox minds must be "Is this a deep catalogue title with enough pent-up demand after 30 years MIA on home video to cause this Blu-ray to fly off SAE's shelves?" Or "Is it another Wayward Bus...regardless how rare to geekier video collectors, still of limited interest to the wider home video market?" This provides a safe, low risk showcase.

So in that sense ALLL is closer to a TT than a Fox release...a test run to determine how much residual demand remains for this obscure, flop 70s musical with such an infamous rep. Will that interest add up to initial sales of more than 3000? About 3000? Less than 3000? Even though ALLL has not been designated a "limited" edition, I doubt it will be stamped in significantly higher numbers. Seems to me Fox is just being very cautious with this one, hedging its bets, covering its corporate arse whichever way it goes. In this newly minted co-partner/co-production deal with TT, if the intitial few thousand sell briskly, then Fox has reserved the option to reprint more and not have to wait 3 years to do so.

I think we're all in the "petri dish" with this baby.

This is exactly what I would like to see happen and what I wrote here a few weeks ago. I am hopeful TT eventually launches a non-limited parallel line fed by regular entries from Fox and Sony. One possibility is that this could morph into a pressed disc MOD line for these two studios.

Based on the quality I am seeing coming out of Warner for their three releases so far, I have no problem at all with pressed on demand blu-rays, and who knows, this may be the best way to get at the deeper titles we want without having to wait years for the chance they will come out. I hope this arrangement between TT and Fox progresses even if At Long Last Love doesn't have intitially brisk sales. I watched some youtube clips of it and plan to bite.

Sorry if this has been covered before, but will Song of Bernadette not include the DVD extras? This is all it says on the SAE site:

At this point, only two groups can answer that with any degree of assurance oildude - Fox and TT - but that's certainly what it "looks" like. And frankly, whom better to champion and steer something like that than a production team who, in one way or another, has been doing exactly that with the Twilight Time label, and before that the Fox Music Archives?

Interesting the language WB has been using for these Archive editions too: "Limited Quantity Runs". Well...uhm...can you say, "Limited Edition Series"? Tell me there's a difference. Gentleman's bet here, but I suspect the numbers for most of those WB pressed MODs are very similar to TT's 3000 limited runs.

ALLL is obscure. It's esoteric. It's deep, deep MIA catalogue. Still, titles like this should be available to those who really, honestly and truly value them and want to own them, even if they only amount to a few thousand passionate, geek collectors worldwide.

The question is always the same though, "How do you make something like that available to those will actually buy it?" So Maybe this 'hybrid' approach landing somewhere between the studio's MOD program and TT's model will actually work. Who knows, but one thing was always certain, TT's dozen or so releases each year combined with the studio's dribbles of catalogue product could never hope to cover enough of this stuff fast enough.

That totally sucks.

This is why I'm glad I can have my personal packages shipped to my office. They either arrive when I'm there or one of the staff place the package on my desk.

I bet it's far lower. Maybe 500 copies at release, with an additional 500 ordered upon sell out.
