I would expect so, given that Fox gives zero ****s about so much of its catalog.

I cannot be the only Factory Records fan here. This movie rules all.
I would love to have 24 Hour Party People on Blu-ray in any form or fashion so that I can upgrade my DVD. The same for Anton Corbijn's Control, which needs to be available Region A.

24 Hour Party People would probably not sell out quickly on Twilight Time, because most people do not have their minds right. It would be a welcome addition to the queue, though.

I'd be in for 24 HOUR PARTY PEOPLE. Saw and greatly enjoyed both 24 HOUR PARTY PEOPLE and CONTROL theatrically. Was lucky enough to see the latter in its first press screening at Cannes. I would agree that 24 HOUR PARTY PEOPLE would likely not be a quick sell out.

I'm glad that this was brought to my attention in this thread. Control is such a fantastic movie, and it will sit well next to my Blu-ray of Anton Corbijn's The American (my favorite movie of 2010). The French language cover will only add to the coolness effect for this particular film.

Thanks again, y'all.

I really hope that TT can release more Harryhausen soon, particularly the 2 70s Sinbad films, Golden Voyage & Eye .

I am very happy that MGM has all of these licensing deals going on. Since they don't seem to have the funds or drive to release product on their own, at least it is coming out either through scream/shout, TGG and now potentially TT.

Here are some titles on my wishlist. I for one don't care who releases them so long as they come out in 16:9 OAR.

Khartoum 2:76 aspect ratio..has been on MGM HD
Shout at the Devil extended
Radioactive Dreams (16:9 cut exists, is out on german dvd)
Vicious Lips (on demand in HD)
Down Twisted
Dangerously Close
Enemy Territory
On the Beach
Judgement at Nuremberg

There are a ton more, but I am simply thinking of the ones that TT would consider marketable. Sadly, I don't think any current widescreen HD masters are out for Dangerously Close or Down Twisted, I have not seem them on Netflix, or any HD channel, nor have I ever seen them on widescreen in any region or home video release. I am pretty sure that TT doesn't do any mastering work of their own. Those titles would almost be best with Shout/Scream as I believe that they can create new masters if need be.

Evidently, some of them has been licensed to labels such as Criterion, Shout etc.

And here's the list of MGM titles that, IMO, would suite TT very nicely (I haven't bothered to mention titles that I believe will be released by Fox themselves or some other label ):

Wilder's One, Two, Three, The Private Life of Sherlock Holmes and Fortune Cookie
Lang's The Woman in the Window
Altman's The Long Goodbye, Thieves Like Us and Images
Frankenheimer's The Train and Birdman of Alcatraz
Ashby's Bound For Glory and Coming Home
Cimino's Thunderbolt & Lightfoot and Year of the Dragon
Jewison's Rollerball
Kennedy's Support Your Local Sheriff!
Peckinpah's Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia and Junior Bonner
Fosse's Lenny
Milius's Dillinger
Brooks's Elmer Gantry
Post's Go Tell the Spartans
Crichton's The Great Train Robbery
Hiller's The Hospital
Fisher's The Hound of Baskervilles
Kramer's Judgement at Nuremberg, Inherit the Wind and On the Beach
Cassavetes's Love Streams
Leone's Duck, You Sucker
Huston's Moby Dick
Herek's Mr Holland's Opus
Russells's Women in Love
Parker's Mississippi Burning
Lumet's The Offence and Equus
Edwards's The Party
Rosenberg's The Pope of Greenwich Village
Mankiewicz's The Barefoot Contessa
Foley's At Close Range
Shear's Across 110th Street
Sherin's Valdez is Coming
Winterbottom's 24 Hour Party People
De Jarnatt's Miracle Mile
Runaway Train
Spottiswoode's Under Fire

...to name a few
Nice. This list includes one that is always among my top 5 most wanted blu-rays: Go Tell the Spartans. A late career Burt Lancaster performance as a military advisor in South Vietnam. I saw it on VHS back in the day, then bought the crappy DVD.

There is something about Burt Lancaster movies. He is not my favorite actor by any means, but he is in so many of my most wanted films (including another in my top 10 - Ulzana's Raid).

Actually, I want just about every film on that list. Rollerball is a big hole in 1970s sci-fi on blu-ray that needs to be filled.

Big fan of Burt and both movies you cite. Saw GO TELL THE SPARTANS on 35mm; have held off on buying the crummy DVD. I have an Aussie 16x9 DVD of ULZANA'S RAID.

This list contains some titles for which MGM only owns foreign (i.e. non-US) rights.

Go Tell the Spartans is one of them. It's on the list because United Artists (now an MGM subsidiary) released it overseas. HBO owns the domestic video rights, however.

Year of the Dragon is controlled by Warners in the US, as it was a pre-1986 MGM/UA release. Again, the current MGM owns only the foreign rights.

Twilight Time might be able to release Go Tell the Spartans on blu-ray in the US, but not through a deal with MGM. They would have to deal with HBO.

I've wanted Criterion to get Moby Dick ever since they first revealed they had gotten the rights to a few mgm titles.
It's a crime that classic isn't out on bd.

I always had a soft spot for the 1977 version of The Island of Dr. Moreau that starred Burt Lancaster in the title role.

Maybe that will show up on Blu-ray someday.

It already has, at least here in Australia.
