This appears to be the source still TT adapted for the Leave Her to Heaven cover:

Doubtful. The French release of Violent Saturday is the most revent in a long line of foreign releases which have reminded me that it's time to get a region-free BD player.

I'd like to mention what is, in my opinion, one of Capra's best but sadly underrated works - The Bitter Tea of General Yen. It was first released on DVD last year as part of TCM's Frank Capra: The Early Collection. It's a darn shame that TT didn't pick it up and give it the release - and recognition - it deserves.

So it turns out the culprit in holding up one of my orders was That Obscure Object of Desire. Fortunately SAE was kind enough to cancel that one item and ship the remainder of my order (Christine, Bell Book and Candle, The Big Heat, Cyrano de Bergerac). I'm not sure why it would be so difficult for them to get That Obscure Object of Desire as it seems readily available at other retailers, but there it is.

Yup, most of them, & it's about time the Corman/Poe films were released on Blu-ray. There's been a couple released in Germany, Haunted Palace & Premature Burial.

The original BEACH PARTY was written by Winnipegger Lou Rusoff. He died just before the movie opened. When BEACH PARTY premiered in Winnipeg, Frankie Avalon and Annette Funicello were in attendance at the Garrick theatre here in town. This is the ad for that event: ![]() |

Keep in mind as well that these are 10-20 million budget movies so that is a HUGE box office draw for both movies.
