What's up with The Driver? The OP says June 11th but there is no pre-order at SAE?

Assumedly Jane Eyre will include the Redman et al commentary, but no word on other extras being ported yet, correct?

I'd assume any docs not produced by Fox will not be carried over (i.e. A&E Biographies). For me, the isolated score is enough of an incentive to buy. I'm interested to know if Drums will feature an IST. I thought those tracks were lost.

Edit: I'd assume that all the extras will be carried over given the current practice of Fox-TT licensing and that there are no externally produced extras except for the vintage propaganda doc. The "Know Your Ally: Britain" vintage documentary piece, however, probably will just be carried over in standard def to save disc space. These are only assumptions of mine based on experience.

I'm a little disappointed that there were no classic Sci-Fi, with this latest list, I was really hoping for First Men In The Moon. The only title that's a must have for me is Oliver.

Well, they did stop short of announcing their December titles Joe. Could there be some surprise goodies planned for our Christmas stockings?

I agree though, we're overdue for more vintage sci-fantasy-adventure. A Wells trip to the moon via Harryhausen would be very nice. Maybe the remaining Sinbad flicks? On a long shot, what about Zardoz? Heck, even Krull has its fans. Lots of good possibilities from the Fox and Sony libraries.

Guess it just depends on the state of their transfers.

Maybe we'll get more Irwin Allen films like Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea or The Lost World!

Inside information I obtained about 4 months ago via the HTF stated that Voyage was not planned for TT release at all.

TT did investigate SHOCK TREATMENT last year and did not receive an adequate master. Fox will have to create a proper master for such a release.

I got an email from SAE announcing their new and notable upcoming releases. Among the soundtrack CDs and other stuff was a photo of artwork for THE DRIVER. I hope they use that art but I'm wondering why they haven't released any official information. July is fast approaching.

The 3,000 limit has put pressure on me to watch them all. Don't want to miss out! I've seen almost a quarter of what they have.

I could see Irwin Allen's Lost World as a TT release, but I think we'll see VttBotS and Fantastic Voyage released by Fox.

Is there a way to browse the BDs on the SAE website and filter out all the non-TT releases to just show their own output?

Being able to show "coming releases" would be nice, too, but they don't seem to put those on their website until they're actively selling. Am I wrong?

Search Twilight Time. You'll still get the TT DVDs listed, but there are very few of them. The whole TT selection is like 3 pages.

I always use the NEW DVD RELEASES 'scroll-box' widget on SAE landing page Mac (just scroll down the page, you'll find it under the NEW CD RELEASES scroll-box). This widget has links to the product page for each studio, but Twilight Time's is highlighted by default. In the upper right hand corner of that widget is a View ALL link which takes you directly to this page.

Other than the link to my cart or account, I don't use any other navigation on SAE. That scroll-box widget delivers everything I need for each studio, already pre-filtered.

Guys, who here bought Cover Girl. There are two very conflicting reviews on this site, one from Jeffrey Kauffman and one from a user. https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Cover.../45341/#Review

There's something very strange about that user review . That account was made on 7/12/2012...he then made the review and has never logged in again.

Ah ok, so it was a Twilight Time employee
Yeah the reviews on other site's seem to be sub-par too.

I've got COVER GIRL and I'd probably give it a 4 out of 5, possibly a 3.5 in some scenes. It's not a bad transfer, way better than a 2.5 rating, but it really should look better. The problem, I suspect, is in the surviving elements, which obviously do not seem to be the original 3-strip Technicolor negatives, and more likely a preservation print made off a composite dupe negative.

The film itself, I'd probably give a 3.5 out of 5. It's certainly entertaining for musical fans, but not quite one of the top 30s-40s-50s musicals.
