I didn't think "back orders" referred to pre-orders.

I just ordered 9 disks from them including two pre-orders and did not tick that box.

Have shot them an email hope they catch it. I pay for the registered mail so that would really sting.

If you didn't tick the box then SAE will hold all in stock items and ship one package once all items are available.

I wrote to SAE asking them to consider the film RESURRECTION, 1980 with Ellen Burstyn. I know the film is available on Amazon as VOD DVD-R title. I've ordered and although it look "ok" it would be really nice to have it on Blu - especially since I recently came upon RESSURECTION on cable in HD.
I also informed them that there is a longer version of the film. I knew a person at Universal who saw the films ahead of release and worked in publicity - in fact he was the one who made choices for publicity photos, both color and B&W to be released. He saw a longer version of the film and we had discussions over various others as well with longer edits like DUNE, and LEGEND.
Well, SAE responded and said they didn't have access to Universal titles. It wasn't till after reading their response I realized that seemed to be the case. The titles seem to range between 20th Century-FOX and COLUMBIA, which narrows down the list of what will come out. That's still a lot to look forward to however - but it's also a reality check.

Did you write to SAE or Twilight Time? SAE is only a distributor/retailer and doesn't release films on home video but TT does.

I wrote to SAE, and they informed me that TT doesn't have connections with Universal.

The postal clerk delivered our copy of 'Sleepless in Seattle' today. My wife insisted on getting this, even if it did cost $30 plus shipping!

Pre-order date: Wednesday, July 24th, 2013 at 4 pm EST.

The film will be presented in both 2.35:1 and 1.78:1 ratios, and the extras include an isolated score track, production featurette, and an audio commentary with Sir Ben Kingsley and Jeremy Thomas.

Any news on a Body Double pre order date couldn't find anything on their Facebook page. I would have thought it should have been one of the next two Fridays 12th or 19th but Sexy Beast which is released same day has a Wednesday 24th pre order date.

Confused ???
