Walter Hill's Southern Comfort is one of my most desired Blu-ray upgrades, and I hope that we get a release on these shores soon.

I own Southern Comfort on DVD, but I'm tired of looking at this DVD cover art...

We do not see a Confederate flag at any point in the movie, so I'm not sure what the thought process was when they included the flag on the cover art.

If we're going to go the Walter Hill MGM owned front...why not his cut of Supernova? I know there is a lot of hate for that film, but I actually kind of liked it, and would be interested to see his version.

But really we need Strange Brew.

Yes! Absolutely!

We can't wait for everything to be nicely restored and I'd be delighted to see more films released on Blu-ray using what's available.

I've watched CHINA GATE a few times now and it looks very good. It's foolish to waste time waiting for restorations and digital cleanings that will never happen.

Apart from the titles already mentioned, The Man From Laramie and The Effect of Gamma Rays on Man-in-the-Moon Marigolds were also hinted for '14.

from MGM I want Hackers.

I bet it would sell out fast. There is a facebook page dedicated to bringing Hackers to Blu-ray.

I have a DVD double set of Eye of the Needle and Gorky Park here at home. I'd upgrade both of those to Blu-ray in a second if somebody can improve on the transfers.

I know it has come up before, but I am still baffled by those who are clamouring to pay TT price points but who won't go region free.

It's a Fox title (I think), but I'd love to see a US release of Bertolucci's The Dreamers.

I'd also love to see Almodovar's Bad Education, which was a Sony release on DVD.

Speaking of 1941 I watched my old VHS of it last night that contains the original theatrical cut. It's been a long time since I've seen the original cut, but it's a much better film at 2 hours instead of the 2 and half hour directors cut (which is the only one available on DVD). To me the film plays a lot better at the 2 hour length. I hope if this ever makes it to blu ray we get the original cut in addition to the director's cut.

I want upgrades of some of my MGM-logo DVD titles:

The Lion in Winter
Eye of the Needle
Gorky Park
Khartoum
The Last Valley
The Charge of the Light Brigade
The Vikings

....among others

As excited as I am at the possibility of seeing more MGM on blu-ray, I have to admit it pains me to think that if TT releases them they will be limited to 3000 copies for three years. In my opinion, the MGM catalog is a true gold mine, the holy grail of missing-in-action blu-ray titles, with timeless and popular classics deserving not to be limited to such small runs for that length of time.
What a great list, esp the last three titles. The Last Valley is one of the most beautiful films I ever saw at the cinema, but I don't think it'll ever get the restoration it deserves. The Charge Of The Light Brigade (a fantastic movie) is available on Blu-ray (France & Australia), I don't have it as I understand that it looks no better than the DVD (upscale?) & is also the cut down version. The Vikings would be very popular & should look great. TT titles along with postage are very expensive to the UK, but I'd have to buy those. MGM are sitting on so much great stuff, esp 60's titles; the oscar winner Tom Jones, Irma La Douce, A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum, The Alamo, Taras Bulba, What's New Pussycat & so many more.

As are Bye Bye Birdie, Experiment in Terror, Major Dundee, The Fury, Hard Times, and The Left Hand of God (DVD only) which has 167 remaining. Bye Bye Birdie looks to be the next to go under 500.

I can't wait to sell off The Fury once it goes OOP, with the Arrow release coming out in a couple of months.

I wonder what the chances are of TT getting ahold of some of John Sayles' Columbia/Tristar/Sony Pictures Classics releases, like Limbo, Lone Star and Sunshine State. Would love to have these.

I received my replacement case and replacement outer sleeve for The Driver yesterday, and everything is in perfect condition.

High marks to Twilight Time/Screen Archives Entertainment for fast customer service, and thanks to everyone here for the help.
