Anyone have any recommendations on the others? I was thinking Experiment in Terror, Rapture and possibly Enemy Mine?
I think you would enjoy all three of those selections!

I don't know when how you can say undoubtedly. Arrow botched many transfers.

I can not wait. This movie disturbed my young impressionable mind way back when it was broadcast on TV. Holland makes Damien from The Omen look like Little-Bo-Peep.

Yes, but not nearly as many lately and their release will win in a landslide where extras are concerned. I'll rephrase 'undoubtedly' to 'likely'. I'm certainly not going to go running to pick up on Twilight's The Fury based on what might happen with Arrow's transfer.

I agree Arrow has changed, their "The Fury" Blu-ray will be great and better than Twilight Time's.

Funny comment from TT's facebook representative regarding region locked releases such as the upcoming Arrow The Fury and those in other territories that would buy them.

"I think most of you miss the point, which is that most fans and collectors buy their discs from the region in which they live. Those that import their blu-rays from all over the world is a very small demographic indeed, mostly limited to the hardcore inhabitants of the internet message boards..a tiny minority."

Anybody else find this comment from the Twilight Time rep kind of funny. What they're saying about a tiny minority basically goes for their stuff too..right as far as a tiny minority.

That 'tiny minority' would be a lot bigger if people would just skip a couple of BD purchases (or whatever) and instead spend $60 on a region-free player. It's not like we're talking about buying a new car here.

I don't know anyone personally besides myself with a region free player. Maybe they could have worded it better, they are not trying to offend but those with Region free players are a small minority in comparison to region locked blu players. Furthermore the region locking is kind of handed down by the companies they licence from. Same can be said for Criterion who region locks a title such as Brazil or Fear and loathing - yet if Universal released the title it would be region free. Just always seems odd some of these studios contractually force the smaller labels to region lock specific titles. Hoenstly nothing new, just kind of is for certain TT titles.

I get what they are "getting" at, but to me a TT purchase is about as niche if not more niche than a region locked disc from another country. I mean I understand why they said that because it was a post about how The Fury had a few hundred copies left and someone else responded to not bother because Arrow was releasing it with added extras, and the TT rep seemed to act like, well yeah but our release is region A so very few people are going to bother getting a region B, C, D, or Z even if it's better.

The TT rep's comments may be an argument for why they don't set up distribution channels outside the US, but they aren't an argument for region locking itself.

I suspect also that he's only really talking from a US-centric perspective. (Nothing wrong with that, but it does shape his opinion.) I'm constantly surprised at the number of US-based people on these threads who make comments to the effect that they won't buy from overseas, even when the overseas release is arguably better and playable on their systems — to my knowledge, I've only seen people from the US saying such a thing.

But that's always been more-or-less true. Even during the days when I was trying to hunt down hard to find, out of print DVDs, I discovered time and again that auctions of the Region 1 (N. Am.) edition almost always had significantly higher bids (sometimes double, triple, and quadruple).

With very few exceptions, these all-English U.S. editions were also the most desired in terms of packaging, even if not significantly different or better than all/alt-region product in terms of actual disc content. In fact, I had routinely better success finding bilingual Canadian editions with identical disc content at a more affordable price, simply because many Americans (and Canadians) still freak when they see any French on the package.

I agree with this to a degree, but really it's not like it's that much more trouble to get an overseas disc than it is a Twilight Time one. I got the Arrow disc for Obsession (which is region free) for 15 bucks and a few dollars for shipping brand new. All I did was look it up on Amazon. I'm going to assume if TT ever puts out a disc other than the package and an isolated score (which for this movie would be a real bonus since there is a lot of wall to wall music going on, than something like say Hard Times where it's like maybe every ten minutes or so you get a short music cue). there will be less extras than the Arrow disc.

Absolutely, TT are just as niche as imports. I had never heard of TT until I started coming to the blu-ray.com forums and clued in to them when I started reading disc reviews of some of their releases! If I was just a regular consumer who shopped at Best Buy or HMV, I would never have known that a blu ray of Body Double or In Like Flint even existed. It took me the same amount of effort scouring the internet to find those titles as it did to get my Aussie import of Beverly Hills Cop II.
