Is there a consensus on the Song of Bernadette BD release? My wife rented the dvd and the picture was pretty poor especially in regards to edge enhancement. Is there much of an upgrade in pq in comparison tho the dvd?

Thanks,
Tom

I think I remember people liking it, but I don't remember that strongly enough to be sure. Here's the review with screenshots, which might help you out some: https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/The-S...Blu-ray/61903/

If you like creepy, atmospheric, slow-burn suspense/horror films, then yes.

Am I missing something? TT has released ONE Harryhausen title (MYSTERIOUS ISLAND). And I believe it took around 9 months to sell out. Yes, more people are aware of TT and SAE since MYSTERIOUS ISLAND was released, and I have no doubt that both Sinbad films will be sell-outs, but I would be very surprised if they sell out during the pre-order period!

I feel like Rip Van Winkle who slept through some major event. I didn't, did I?

They will sellout during the pre-order period, have no doubt about it. TT has a 3,000 unit monopoly on these titles which are fan favorites. Many fans have missed out prior titles and are now more aware. Unfortunately, so are scalpers and even collectors who are not scalpers but pick up an extra copy or two to resell since it is a 100% certanty the two Sinbad movies will sellout.

Since TT pays the royalty up front and they only buy 3,000 units, you would think now that they are doing better sales and they have slightly more financing, certain titles might be purchased at 4,000 units - titles which they know will sell out quickly (only it's probably hard to determine if a title will sell out)

Also titles which did sell out would be re-purchased (which may in fact discourage the scalpers) and re-issued since the packaging and all is already there

An easy comparison would probably be The Omen, but The Other is a different type of Horror film more subtle and supernatural then biblical. There's a scene in the movie that I can never take out of my mind when I first saw it. It involves a
