Hey guys, constantly forgetting, but does Twilight Time charge your card immediately for a pre-order or is it a temp charge and then your really charged when it ships? Thanks for any help!

They, Screen Archives not TT, don't charge until they ship for credit cards. I believe someone said they charge paypal immediately.

They definitely do a temp charge at first, which goes away.

Yes paypal does charge right away, but I actually like that. It's all done and I can move on without worrying about having money on the card.

Yes, they all come with a little 8-page booklet with an essay by Julie Kirgo.

I have always been curious with The Egyptian having been available at the same time in either DVD or Blu-Ray format, did they have a total of 3,000 (perhaps 1500 of each) or was it 6,000 (3,000 in each format). I have never seen it clearly stated. The business model for TT would imply that they only had the rights to press 3,000 total... how many of each format exist? Regardless, I am glad I purchased my blu-ray copy before it sold out.

and I wish they would released some of the other DVD only releases as Blu-rays.

Especially VIOLENT SATURDAY and THE FLIM FLAM MAN if they can get good HD scans of them! I'd definitely buy both on Blu-ray. And although nowhere near the classic of the original, it would also be nice to see the 1966 STAGECOACH in full widescreen and HD.

That said, I've been buying so many Olive and Criterion Blu-rays lately that I need to start catching up with some of the Twilight Time releases again, especially LOVE IS A MANY SPLENDORED THING and DRUMS ALONG THE MOHAWK.

Region B, but VIOLENT SATURDAY does exist on BD. Region free capability being fairly cost-efficient and easy to attain these days, there's that. At the very least, it indicates that a "good HD scan" is feasible for TT.

Deciding what other title to order along with Mindwarp so I can save on shipping. Its between these three:

Steel Magnolias
Blue Lagoon
The Other

The next order I will be making will be in November, so which one(s) do you guys think will sell out before then?

Steel Magnolias and Blue Lagoon have been out for a while, but they are not selling quickly. The Other would be the only one that has any potential for selling out, and while there's a chance since it's a horror title, I don't think it has quite the cult following of the other sellouts.
