Sort of what bugs me on the new Arrow The Fury disc. So not even a year later a better transfer with real extras comes out in England. Why didn't TT get this better transfer? It's not like this is coming a year or two later, but months later. If someone isn't region free, theoretically won't get this transfer on disc anytime soon (if ever!), and if they do it'll be from TT for the same price (or maybe more by that time) with more than likely the same extras (a trailer and isolated score). If Twilight Time has a product that I want, then I will purchase it. I don't care what they say or what they do. They are a company who is selling a product and are allowed to do business however they see fit. If people don't like it, they can move on. There's no reason to act like 12 year olds here and get pouty over a business choice or bully a person or company over what they say or do. Just get over it.

I have yet to buy a TT title as so far there really haven't been any movies released by TT that I want bad enough to spend $30 on, but I do periodically check the list of recent and upcoming TT releases in case that changes. That being said, I do think the idea of something being strictly limited to 3,000 copies (especially the titles that sell out fast and clearly have enough demand to sell more copies) really sucks. Granted, it's better than the films not coming out on Blu-Ray at all, but it still sucks. Bad transfers, when they happen, suck. These may not be the direct fault of Twilight Time since the limited amount produced is just part of the deal, and the transfers are provided by Sony, but they are things that customers ultimately have the right to complain about. Just because there is a lot of red tape and bureaucracy making things the way they are, there by making them difficult to blame any one particular person/party does not mean that those things should not be complained about. What is ironic, but needs to be recognized, is that a lot of negativity and complaints about things often come from a standpoint of passion and love of something... in this case film and the Blu-Ray format. While some people may be negative, and a handful can even get down right vile, it's because they are frustrated with some aspect of something that they otherwise really enjoy. If they weren't passionate, they wouldn't care or complain, they'd just shrug it off, move on, and spend their money elsewhere. Any critical reviews that lean in any way towards the negative are judging the video and audio transfer. If Redman had no control over any such transfers, then he shouldn't take it personally when people speak of them unfavorably. The people assigned to review these things shouldn't make special exceptions or take it easy on one release over most others just because it was released through Twilight Time. All of this being said, I am not "boycotting" TT, and when/if they ever release a film that I want that I'm willing to pay the price for, I will buy it. But if I am unsatisfied with said product, I will express my opinion as such. |

I have never posted a bad word about Twilight Time and indeed I have bought many of their titles but this Redman guy seems to be pretty arrogant and not very smart.
"Punishing" a website that is promoting a lot of their releases with great reviews because on that website's forum some members ae criticizing their business model? How stupid is that? It's like a company boycotting amazon because their product is getting bad reviews by amazon customers. |

Not to mention, TT is a distributor. They don't really have to "have a clue" about the transfers they're given. Since they didn't work on the master, they have zero percent chance of knowing if it's correct or not, and, really, that's not their job. They manufacture and distribute. Quote:

I guess you'll find out then the 3-year licensing deal is up. Let's see if Sony goes back and fixes the transfer. |

People sharing 'boycott this company' or 'unsticky this' in this thread are simply not doing anything productive. It won't change anything because it is not getting to the place where it could make a difference. But there is something that may.
In a polite e-mail, e-mail Twilight Time directly. But limit your comments to the specific action he took, and its effects on you. A suggestion: = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = Mr Redmon, I count on the reviews of Twilight Time releases at Blu-ray.com in order to make decisions on what films you release that I will buy. I do not trust other blu-ray review websites because all too often their reviews are clearly, objectively wrong (e.g. some saying that the Disney 'Sword in the Stone' is a 'film-like' transfer). If not for the Blu-ray.com reviews of your releases, I would not have bought <list Twilight Time blu-rays and DVDs you have in your collection>. Without future reviews there - which occur pretty much universally with screeners, and are almost universally well-researched and favorable - I will be very hesitant to buy future Twilight Time releases because there will be no assurance that what I buy will be quality material. By eliminating sending screeners to Blu-ray.com, you have jeopardized my future business with your label. You may reconsider whether to send Blu-ray.com future screeners based on this, or you may decide you don't wish to have as much potential future business from me. It is up to you. Thank you for your time. <your name here> = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = Again: for it to have ANY effect, it MUST be polite. Complaining, or threatening him directly will simply come off as immature and will likely have the opposite effect (as people tend to dig in their heels when threatened). It's up to you: do you want to complain about it here, or do you want to potentially change the situation? [Or, of course, you can do both. ![]() Just my 2¢. |

Please don't act like he did it out of the kindness of his heart. He did because he had connections with the studios, and saw an opportunity to make money. I don't blame the guy at all for jumping on that chance, but don't make him out to be some kind of hero.

What financial sense does it make to not provide a well known & visited Blu-ray review site with a reviewable copy of your product THAT YOU ARE TRYING TO SELL? The only people who could lose out due to this is Twilight Time when they have extra copies of movies sitting unsold. |

[Show spoiler] People don't like TT's prices and they ***** about it on the internet. Boo ****ing hoo. People don't like TT's limited release approach and they ***** about it on the internet. Boo ****ing hoo. And besides, if the TT fans amongst us are correct the people *****ing are a teeny, tiny sliver of a minority anyway. Forget big girl panties, a decent pair of huggies oughta cover it, no? |
