In that case, given your track record for accuracy, I fully expect tons more great titles from TT this year.

LOL.. that's funny. coming from one of the sites TT trolls that's truly funny (actually site trolls in general by lookng at post history). do you have nothing better to do but bait ??? you're entire posting here has been nothing but flame baiting

I truly find this whole thing hysterical

oh, and as for accuracy. my studio contacts are on par with this sites, in terms of films my accuracy is up there with the best of them (unless of course you want to actually bring something with any evidence to the table. for example listing all these instances of my data track record that shocks you so much instead of throwing out thinly veiled insults ). if you're talking about in regards to business... well then... only time will tell

No, I just see idiots and I like winding them up.

It's like competition fly fishing....without the competition.

While I would love for this back and forth to cease, I'm curious which sites you review for, wormraper?

I'm betting TT has been getting enough hits online for not giving a premium restoration with their premium pricing in the online reviews and are just trying to slip their Image and Mill creek level stuff through without too much scrutiny.
LOL at "holding them hostage"... seriously? You realize that the majors are the ones who make the decision to license out titles, right? And the majors are perfectly fine with TT's business model and the 3000 copies. You do realize WHY studios like licensing to TT, right? Because they pay the whole fee upfront, instead of residuals as sales come in. That way, the studio makes all their money regardless of how many copies TT sells (and TT only begins to make a profit after moving 1500 of the 3000 copies). No other boutique distributor does that. Don't blame the little guy, blame the studios for being greedy.

Buy hey, not sending out screeners is more important than actually, you know, getting catalog titles released on blu-ray.

oh don't worry. I hold Sony and Fox responsible for farming out their titles, but I hold TT responsible for not sticking to their original business model. that's where they boned up. if they hadn't accepted the titles that didn't fit their mission statement than those titles would have gone to mill creek and Image entertainment where we would have gotten the same thing except for a much tinier price point and no magnet

Not only it is common practice in the industry all over the world, but how other US websites are reviewing TT releases ?
Well, they also get screeners...

So TT have to pass on making bonus cash on big-selling bluebird titles that don't fit their "mission statement"....and act like a charity so you can get them for a cheaper price? I thought business was brutal, it was the survival of the fittest...they should be stomping on Mill Creek and Image and squashing them!

You're even contradicting yourself now

Lol keep telling yourself that. They have every RIGHT to behave anyway they want. But a company that operates outside of its mission statement better be prepared for backlash. That's the whole point. They did what they wanted here and they better be prepared for the consequences (whatever that may be, no one can see into the future so right now it's just speculation)
Your stretching is getting more amusing by the post. And if TT was capable of beating down mill creeks door they would be..... IF they could muster the capital and resources

From this batch, only Khartoum for me.
I try to be very selective due to limited financial means.

COMPLETELY agree!
I didn't know about this matter until now.
i think, i'll re-think and stop buying these TT releases (and I have bought 11-12 until now).
These films will eventually come out in the future elsewhere, and in half or less the price!

I'm in favour of any boycotting to companies that act arrogantly or deliver bad products without respect to the customer (this goes for DISNEY, not TT).

and that's really the whole issue. instead of handling criticism Redman played the "I'm gonna take my ball and go home" strategy. Thus alienating one of their biggest promoters... There's a section of the market that's already frustrated with his business model and this action only further ingrained that mentality in even more people.

I honestly don't think anything needs to be done besides stop promoting TT anymore on the site if he and his crew are going to behave like this. why continue to promote and give special treatment to a company that is obviously dissatisfied with the site.
