Although I have the oldray DVDs, I've also seen these two Sinbads on Vudu. Blu-ray editions will make a very nice holiday gift for a huge Harryhausen movie fan. That's why I want to get these as soon as TT starts taking orders -- which I hope will begin any day now.

Do you think maybe someday Twilight Time will stop adding that goofy sound effect (sound like lamaze method) when you navigating the main menu?

yeah, this is very irritating and I would say without any sense of aesthetics!

At least most of the other discs that I've ran into that have this allow you to turn the sound effects off. Sounds like some goon shooting spitballs in the back of geometry class.

How do you turn the sound FX off? i own 11 TT releases, but I don't remember seeing this feature anywhere.
or do you mean on non-TT releases?

Okay, now it seems like people are just looking for things to complain about with TT.

Interestingly enough, this is the first time I've seen anyone complain about that sound effect.

So I wonder if Twilight Time will now lose Sony (Columbia, TriStar) as a licensor. Apparently, Sony has just signed a deal with Criterion whereby Sony will handle Criterion's production, distribution, and some of its accounting. While it remains unsaid, I assume that it means Criterion will have first crack at any Sony-owned catalog titles that Sony doesn't want to do themselves.

I don't imagine this would affect the titles that TT has already announced, like the Sinbad films, though. But going forward, I suppose it's good (for them) that they picked up MGM/UA as a licensing source.

Shouldn't have any effect whatsoever. Sony has been licensing to both Criterion and Twilight for a while now.

As far as 2014 goes Twilight Time is going to release at least 3 Sony titles, La Bamba, Used Cars, and The Blob.

Maybe that is am indication as to why they appear to be focusing on MGM/UA titles.
