When I bought body double they were sending copies out prior to release date but mine was stuck on pending for ages... It seems as this will be a regular issue with the new releases now unless sae hires more staff

I wish. It also needs to have all of the DVD special features, but they've been really good about that lately.

When the change was made? They ship me a package last week (received today) and the value was lowered as I've asked to skip the taxes.

Considering that the UK version is also fogged, I fail to see how that matters. Plus, while it has adequate PQ, there's still a lot of dirt on the print and taken from an old master.

The American rating system is the reason it was altered in the first place, so why would you assume they'd go the extra mile to release the uncensored version?

I'm getting it on the fact that TT said they are running low on the supply, probably close to 500 or less I suppose.

If Shout, Arrow, and many others have success, no reason TT can't. They just want to be Criterion without putting in all the effort that Criterion does.
None of those companies pay full licensing fees upfront to studios, either, like TT does. Which is why studios are eager to license to them. Their business models are completely different, so comparing TT to any other boutique label without actually knowing the facts of how they operate and the reasons they have pricing they do is rather foolish and certainly uninformed.

Maybe I will get lucky then. I got my shipping notice yesterday so now the waiting game begins.

Looks like a lot of us are waiting for the pre-orders next week. Anyone think the Sinbad movies will sell out day one? I'm thinking not but it will be close.

I've only ordered twice from TT ("Journey to the Center of the Earth" and "Mysterious Island") so I've never witnessed a full crazed pre-order day. How difficult is it to get through right at 4pm on a pre-order day when there are hot titles to order? Is it best to log in prior to 4 pm and refresh the page until the titles show up? I just want to get this over with

I think most do the above... I think these titles will sell out, but I think it will take more than a day for it to happen though.

I don't think it will sell out right away, it's not a horror movie.

I just ordered Jane Eyre from SAE. No time like the present.

Is there any info yet about whether or not the Man in the Dark Blu-ray will be 2D viewable? If so, then I'm all over it.

Took the plunge for $35 and just ordered "The Way We Were" based on the glowing review. Looking forward to it!

If these titles sell out in less than a month or two, it will be because prospectors are scooping up lots and lots of them. I still feel that these titles will take longer to sell out than a lot of people seem to think. MYSTERIOUS ISLAND took 9 months to sell out, and it's at least as popular (if not more) than GOLDEN, and much more popular than EYE OF THE TIGER.

Absent the phenomenon of multiple copies going to resellers, I'd think these titles would take 3 to 6 months to sell out. We shall see. I'm as big a Harryhausen fan as anyone, but the relatively paltry sales numbers for 7th VOYAGE OF SINBAD and JASON AND THE ARGONAUTS, Ray's two most popular films, suggest the Blu-Ray market isn't as robust for his great films as one would think.

I got the 10% discount code from Screen Archives for items already in my cart and was wondering if it is applicable to any new items I would add to my cart today? I intend to pick up a couple of extra Twilight Time releases with it.

How do you get the 10% off? I've had about 15 titles in my cart for a month and want to place the order.

Thanks,
Tom

I received an e-mail from SAE, but the code they gave me expired as of 12 EST today.
