ALL THE KING'S MEN, for sure (the real version!), and I really liked CONRACK but haven't seen it in decades, so that's another definite, as well as MR. HOBBS TAKES A VACATION. EQUUS is tempting, as I liked the stage production. WILD AT HEART is just fine on the British Blu-ray (unless Twilight Time suddenly adds a ton of bonus features), and BROADWAY DANNY ROSE is among my least favorite Woody Allens, so I'll pass on those. I vaguely recall USED CARS being moderately interesting, but I haven't seen it since it came out. The other two I'm not familiar with at all.

I have no idea why MGM/Fox can't throw together a Woody Allen box set and release them that way. I wouldn't even a have a problem if singles weren't offered.

It's a shame Crimes and Misdemeanors is going to cost $30-40 and now Danny Rose. If MGM released it themselves it'd be about $14.

It's buy at release or never get it because Danny Rose will sell out quickly. This is why TT has its critics.

Maybe, but there is another alternative available for less $$, personally I'm not a fan, but my wife is.

Oh man, Twilight Time is putting out Wild At Heart?!

Better start saving them duckets, I also really want both Allen films. I never should've checked this site again, it's no good for my wallet. lol

Unless this release of Wild at Heart has a Lynch approved transfer or some involvement of his, I can pretty much guarantee it will offer nothing in the way of extras. I can see it being barebones and looking identical to the UK disc. I hope I'm wrong but the amount of time that went by from the "uhh were not sure what we have for it yet" announcement to the release date of April 8 looks to me like they'll make some new artwork slap their name on it and charge $30. If lynch isn't involved it will be a wasted release.

I will certainly purchase All the King's Men and Mr. Hobbs Takes a Vacation. Thanks Twilight Time.

Only a couple of more weeks until I have those Sindbad movies in my hand.

On the other hand, it was cut after release at Lynch's request, so if he's not involved, there's a tiny chance they'll somehow release the uncut version. I doubt it, but I'm keeping a tiny optimist hat on for now until my hopes are dashed once more.

All the King's Men, Broadway Danny Rose, and Wild at Heart are sure buys for me. If I haven't blown all my tax refund money by then, I'm pretty sure I can swing those (to say nothing of Titus in January and The Front/Crimes and Misdemeanors in February).

Sorry I don't understand how it's a wasted release, you either want the movie or you don't. Was the UK version a wasted release as well ?

Does anyone know if there's much of a market for Christine, Journey TTCOTE, Body Double, and Mysterious Island? I'd hate to let the go but I need to raise some funds.

There is, you'd be getting around $60 a piece or sometimes more.

This is, unfortunately, a bad time to be selling, as large numbers of people have likely just spent a great deal with Black Friday sales that they saved up for.

With the blus, if they are opened, yes, as Vw Driver said, you'd get around $60 each if they are in flawless condition (if damaged, potentially substantially less). If you never opened them, some could be worth over $100. Take a look at Amazon Marketplace sellers' prices, and at past (finished) eBay sales.

Mysterious Island sold out before I knew of TT and I ended up having to pay $90 for a sealed copy via Amazon.

And, of course, if you go the Amazon route, the more you ask, the longer you potentially would have to wait for a buyer to come 'round for each, so if you need the money quickly, you'd have to price accordingly.

What I think he meant is that it's wasted because there's already a UK release. I suspect he figures that TT should spend its resources on titles that aren't already on Blu-ray from someone else.

Do you guys think that a David Lynch film would sell out quicker than the rest of the new stuff?

They're opened but in mint condition. Maybe ebay's the way to go.

Anyway, thanks for the advice.

Given that new, sealed copies of Body Double are currently going for less than $60 an open copy will go for much less. My guess is that Christine might fetch the most since it doesn't have an international release.

I wonder if there's a possibility of an Arrow release of Alfredo? That's the only one from the latest list that I'd shell out $35 for.

I went ahead and picked up Krull from Big Lots the other day for 3 bucks. This is a title that I've long suspected could be coming from Twilight Time because it's a Sony genre title with a big name composer attached to it, so until then, I've got my 3 buck dvd to watch.
