Good to see the Sinbads are showing up. Would really like to get your audio/video impressions. I was so happy with the quality of "Mysterious Island" I have high hopes for these "newer" movies.

I emailed them this morning stating that my order was still pending and that I didn't have a charge pending to my credit card yet. I was very polite and just was curious if there was an issue or delay with the items. I also asked if my order would arrive before Christmas since it includes a gift. The exact response was "your order is in the queue waiting with 1,000's of others".

Overall, I think the PQ for both are ok, good at times, and a little soft at others. As good as I expected...

$10 for this shipping speed is just a complete joke.

I got mine yesterday and it shipped on friday. Yeah, the shipping has changed. Before it would ship from VA and would take one day to MD. Not sure why they changed there shipping.

The PQ looks really good at times, ok at others (a little soft), and piss poor at others (due to the film elements). It's a wonder how much better the scenes involving any special effects would have looked if a green screen had existed back when they made these films. Overall, I'm happy with these. I think they look better than the DVDs.

As a Christmas present to myself, I picked up "Sexy Beast" and "The Driver." Amazingly, still not sold out considering how long they've been available, what 6-7 months now? Guess not as popular as I had thought, no way did I imagine "Sexy Beast" would still be around, cult favorite that it is.

Up to now, the only other title I absolutely NEEDED was "Body Double" and I got that. Unfortunately, I missed out on the big 3 horror titles that sold out.

Looking forward to "Wild at Heart" and "Bring Me the Head..." as well. I just hope they get considerably more features than the titles I've picked up so far.

Winding down Herbert Ross' commentary track on the Steel Magnolias DVD rented from Nf after enjoying the film on Twilight's BD. A lot of dead air. Has me wondering if its exclusion from the BD is due to a decision having been made that it didn't bring a ton to the table as opposed to any rights issue.

OK, here's the scoop on the shipping delays. Golden Voyage arrived on Friday, so they could not begin fulfilling orders until then at the earliest. A snowstorm then interrupted the process and slowed them down getting orders out the door. Not just a little slow down, they got backed up pretty good. They are working hard to get caught up but are many, many orders behind (as in thousands). Those who got theirs shipped already were the lucky ones that went out before the weather turned bad.

They are working diligently to get our orders out. Patience, folks. Our Sinbads are coming but it could be a few more days before many (including mine) get shipped.

I guess I can't win as my previous shipment was delivered to a UPS MI and USPS destination location 400 miles to the north of me. This shipment was delivered to a UPS MI destination location 60 miles south of me but was transferred to a USPS origin location 100 miles north of me. I don't understand their logic with this new system but what wasn't broke doesn't need to be fixed.

Oh I had a friend in Minnesota who's package took 8 days to get to him...Screen Archives might not have been the best choice.

Do you guy's think the two Sinbad movies will sell out fast? This is such an expensive time of year for these to be released.

I'm guessing they will make it to at least February. This is a challenging time of year when it comes to plunking down 60 bucks for two blu rays.

I thought that there was a huge upgrade in the audio with the "Mysterious Island" blu ray over the dvd. I'm a bit disheartened with it being a slight upgrade with the new Sinbads. I thought the new HD Master-Audio tracks would really come alive

Thanks for the update. I was not aware of the reasons for the delay. I was definitely starting to get worried why mine still hasn't shipped, but I ordered multiple titles to get the autographed copy deal so I knew I would be further back in the queue to start with (although Blu2u's post doesn't make me feel any better...)
