Man, all these issues with shipping and now fingerprints on discs and cracked cases?? Crazy. My order has literally sat just a few city blocks away from me since Thursday and I still haven't received the package (and according to tracking it won't arrive until Tuesday!). This is worse than Importcds

Again, it's not about the TIME, it's about the customer service!

I don't mind waiting, at all, I would just like an explanation and to not feel like i'm doing the wrong thing if I contacted them with any queries.

So to re-iterate AGAIN, it's not about the time, it's about the service!

Agreed. They seem to enjoy being dicks to their customers from the things I've seen from everyones reports.
I remember when Night Of the Living Dead came out and people were telling them the colour timing was off and they practically told people to shut up and be happy that they had a collectors edition of the film.
I know they don't do the transfers themselves but they could've been more polite about it.
Their customer service is one of the main reasons I don't want to support them.

You are getting TT and SAE mixed up.

Totally not. Twilight Time were the ones telling people to shut up and enjoy their Night Of The Living Dead releases (of course not in those exact words but they mine as well have said it), not SAE. It was through their Facebook page.
SAE however seems to be pretty bad themselves which is evident through here.
Furthermore SAE are the ones who handle Twilight Time pretty much exclusively (other than TCM) so why would that make a difference?
I should have to put up with that crap if something goes wrong or am not satisfied with the service I'm paying quite a bit of money for?
Would rather deal with someone else which pretty much just points to getting it from somewhere else in the world.

You responded to a post about SAE with a rant aimed at TT. Totally yes. But we get your point.

Ehhh I get what you mean now. But I do agree with the last poster (name has eluded me and Im too lazy to check) that both of them are pretty bad with customer service.
Seems like they both tend to treat complaints and problems as personal attacks rather than issues.

That's crap regarding TT along with your characterization of NOTLD which they offered full refunds to anyone who didn't like the transfers. That's good customer service.

I really wish TT would get on their Facebook page and make an official announcement/explanation regarding the delay in shipping, with some sort of time-frame provided for those of us who are STILL waiting on a shipping notice.

First reports sure weren't.
Never heard about any refunds so maybe they got enough to warrant it, but I'm not lying as I saw the post myself via another blu-ray.com user.
Still not worth the fuss of ordering through SAE.

Wow, we lost two greats this weekend. In addition to Peter O'Toole, classic film star Joan Fontaine died in her sleep today at the age of 96. She starred in TT's recent release of Jane Eyre and Max Ophul's Letter From an Unknown Woman (released by Olive), in addition to other memorable films such as Alfred Hitchcock's Rebecca and Suspicion, Ivanhoe, Tender is the Night, and Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea. She was the sister of Olivia de Havilland, who is still alive. So sad when one of the Golden Age greats passes on; there are so few of them left now.

RIP, you will be missed.

Edit: post title go whacked somehow.

Joan Fontaine is my favourite actress along with Barbara Stanwyck and Deborah Kerr. She starred in everything from Hitchcock to Hammer horror. Rest in peace Joan!

Yeah, it's been a rough week.

The Set-Up (1949) and Letter From An Unknown Woman are personal favorites of mine.

I think Fontaine's performance in Letter From An Unknown Woman is perhaps the best I've ever seen.
