Well, I didn't know that.

That is pretty telling.

I would guess because of the difficulty in getting the cover art out and back in place for those who are doing the signing. The booklet is easy: pull out/sign/put back, but the cover art requires some finesse (i.e. "extra time and attention"). For a small company, that time adds up, and - if done by unskilled hands - would result in a loss of some signatures, something that they can ill afford.

lOL, Pumpkinhead is awesome. I'll bet it will sell very well. Seems more geared towards Scream Factory but I will add it to my collection if it does come from TT.

I prefer it this way. I don't like signatures on cover art. That's just me though.

Nah, what if it gets scratched for some reason, or when you receive it, it's defective? I wouldn't want to have an autographed defective disc.

From the Man In The Dark review:-

"The 3D experience is similarly excellent, yet another example of the old anaglyph method having made the transition into modern day efforts with surprising impact."

I'm surprised to still see reviews with this error. Can everybody who believes 50s 3D movies were anaglyph please visit Bob Furmanek's website?

Correct. Our "modern day efforts" are in fact basically the same as what they were doing in the 50s, only now it's all in the digital realm.

that said, it is a very common mis-perception due to pics of audiences wearing those green/blue glasses and screaming in terror.

People get pretty picky about blemishes on cover art, not just signatures but creases or tears which can happen in pulling 120 pieces of cover art out. I don't care how good you were as Alex DeLarge, you better not eff up my cover art McDowell!

It's also easier to transport 120 booklets that full packages to the signing location.

This site review really let Man in the Dark have it in terms of the film content evaluation.

I mean, I agree that Man in the Dark is not exactly The Godfather or Lawrence of Arabia, but it's a fun film for what it is.

Bad idea ink can bleed through into the part of the disc that is read by the laser overtime and cause
Playback issues. I have an autograph collector friend
Who ran into this issue on discs he got signed

I picked up Man in Dark 3D today while I was at Ameoba, (glad they have some sort of arrangement with SAE/TT to sell a few copies in store cause definitely nice to save the shipping cost)
Any case very impressed with the 3D transfer on the film.
It's definitely a very interesting film, and a rare title that I have never in my life seen before.
