By the way, they said they hope to have the first shipments of "...Alfredo Garcia" in by the end of the week.

This seems a little odd, what way did they get their own way? I must of missed that they put a Gun to MGM's head, but no instead they did something really low, they offered them cold hard cash up front and MGM took it, any number of small labels could have done the same, it's all up for grabs at this point.

Do the April releases go on sale tomorrow 12th or next Wednesday. They still have no date on their website. Thanks

I'm just saying it seems Twilight Time did not seek out to have David Lynch's involvement on their release of "Wild at Heart", where presumably if released under MGM/Fox we may have been treated to the same treatment "Blue Velvet" received. I recall something on their Facebook page stating they did not have David Lynch involved therefore no David Lynch approved-supervised transfer, no rare hour length "Wild at Heart" deleted scenes from the "Lime Green" box set.

So, he tells me to order again because sure why not have two copies of "...alfredo garcia" he thinks he's making the company more money.

I know what "preauthorization hold" is, i was simply questioning how long the hold was. I have no problems with using and maintaining my debt/credit cards, but thanks for concern.

If SAE is the oblivious boyfriend who won't return your calls in a timely fashion, then some of the posters around here are the equivalent of needy, high maintenance gals who started off describing themselves as "casual and funloving" and are now calling hourly for reassurance.

I've had good service from them in the few orders that I've made. One nice thing when you order 3 or more is that they ship in a box with bubble wrap, which is more than what Amazon does.

Speaking of Amazon, I think many are used to their excellent customer service and fast shipping, and use them as a yardstick. But the truth of the matter is that Amazon is not the norm, but rather smaller etailers like SAE.

So can anyone explain to me how the autographed movies when you spend $100+ works? I've never seen anything from SAE to broadcast those specials, and would be interested if they do something like that with the March pre-orders

You buy enough movies to put you over $100 after tax.

From there, you select the autographed copy for free while it's available.

Then, you check out.

Pretty easy.

So the option to grab it automatically appears in your cart?

No you have to add the free item to your cart as a separate item and then check out before they all go. Usually around 10 minutes after the on sale time.

You know I'm probably blowing this out of proportion, I mean I've certainly heard people have way worse experiences. In no way will I end my relationship with SAE as undoubtedly they will have future titles I will want. And I really don't mean to sound like an overbearing acehole, for the 3 other times I've purchased from them it's been all hunky dory.

But, just this one time they rubbed me the wrong way. I'm not going to explain it for a 3rd time, but cancelling my order just because I inquire about the process is a bit premature then correcting your error without telling me and then telling me to buy another one while all this time the company did it for me is just ignorant.

Really, they aren't as bad as I may make them sound, the woman was quite nice on the phone. I just want my damn movie and could careless what style case it was packaged in.

If you take one thing away from this just don't ever utter the word "cancel" over the phone with SAE and I think you'll be fine.

Much better indicators are cult appeal, popularity (a good indicator is # of IMDb votes) and how highly regarded the film is. Mulholland Dr. scores exceptionally high in all three of those categories and so yes, there are some films that are too big for a limited 3000 copy release and this is one of them.
No it's not. It has cult appeal amongst many film buffs and acclaim amongst a few critics and I'm sure if TT had it, it would sell fairly well thanks to the Lynch fanbase but it's not as popular as you think. Fright Night and Christine are far more popular across the board, too many average folks think Mulholland Dr is muddled and confusing and the only thing that would appeal to many is naked lesbians.

Despite TT's announcement that there might be a delay in the March orders, my order with Conrack (and Khartoum) just shipped today! :-)

Watched "The Blue Max" last night, looks and sounds fantastic and I highly recommend it. I've always liked this Movie and the acting was fine, especially good was Jeremy Kemp. Also the score for this Movie was exceptional and rousing, just a perfect fit.
