Alright guys, need some help. Is Sexy Beast worth a blind buy? Huge Ben Kingsley fan, and from what I hear this is one of his best performances. Will be pre ordering Used Cars & also picking up Blue Lagoon, so I'm already spending a bit more than I wanted too!

Swamp Water is an outstanding movie, great acting and a compelling setting. I've seen it twice already. You won't go wrong with that one.

I'd say gor for TT's BD because it has a slightly stronger (more precise, more robust) picture quality over than the european release.

If you can live without the isolated score and don't need the commentary on a Blu-Ray version, DVDCompare.net says that the Special Edition DVD releases of Philadelphia in most countries have all the other extras on the TT release.

So perhaps get the EU Blu for the extra features and lower price and try to pick up the SE DVD cheap for the commentary?

ETA: 3 minutes until The Front was gone. That was fast. Glad I pre-loaded my cart with the sale titles either not available on DVD readily available via the various worldwide Amazons or more expensive including shipping for the few EU Blus. I skipped everything still in print on DVD, since literally 90% of the sale titles are blind buys for me, so I figured I might as well invest in the ones I couldn't readily watch through other means.

If you like Kingsley you will like it. You will like it if you like gangster/heist films also.

This is ridiculous. Was on the page 5 minutes before it went live and still can't get through. Looks like I missed out on the free copy

THE DISAPPEARANCE
How much do you love strange 70s flicks? This isn't A-list, but it's sort of a poor man's Don't Look Now, with Sutherland's strong presence anchoring a fractured-chronology, downbeat story with several very appealing settings (particularly the apartment complex in Montreal where he lives). The multiple cuts presented on the disc make for a strong package, too.
