I own all four, and don't have any regrets for a single one.

The Omen Baby? Rosemary's Omen?

Middle of the road western, IMO. Look it up on YouTube and find out for yourself, though. It can be found there in its entirety.

Besides this movie, I've only seen his better-known comedies (Pink Panther, A Shot in the Dark, 10) and dramas (Days of Wine and Roses, Breakfast at Tiffany's). This doesn't have anything in common with them, it's just loaded with crazy film-noir style shots and lighting and it's seriously some of the best black and white photography out there. I'd put it up there with the likes of "Seconds." The difference is the movie itself is not nearly as good, but as a style exercise it's definitely top-shelf. I don't know if it was Edwards just making a conscious decision to go nuts with the direction cause he'd normally been so restrained, or if it's mostly just the cinematographer who was awesome and allowed to run free.

I first heard of it when Fantomas (ridiculous metal band mostly known for doing crashy songs with no vocals other than cartoon sound effects and shrieks) did a cover of the theme on their film soundtrack album. That was enough to make me check out the movie!

Someone mentioned how great 'Experience in Terror' and 'Swamp Water' are a few pages back and now "everyone" seem to have bought at least one them.

I ended up with:

Experience in Terror
Swamp Water
Demetrius and the Gladiators
The Song of Bernadette
Broadway Danny Rose

Looks like a decent transfer, but details are just enough lacking to suggest possible overuse of DNR (I'm not good enough at it to say it is or not). But then it's still a Sony title; Grover Crisp is in the booklet's thank-yous. Maybe it's just the source material, but I have a feeling they coulda left a few scratches in for more detail.

Is it still cropped as seen on the DVD release?

I just watched CONRACK, it was great seeing it again. It is a superb film. The PQ is quite nice and worth the upgrade.

And I even managed to write it twice? Impressive!

The correct list is of course:

Experience in Error
Bong Water
Dementia and the Gladiators
Weekend at Berniedettes
Broadway Benny Hill

Great sale - I've already bought more than I had planned.

1st round:
Cover Girl
Swamp Water
Sexy Beast
Experiment in Terror

Couldn't stay away - 2nd round:
Blue Lagoon
Bonjour Tristesse

Now I'm contemplating another dip - I'm trying to decide on two among the following titles and any community feedback would be appreciated

The Other
Nicholas and Alexandra
Picnic

Actually I'm pretty sure on the first two, and I love Kim Novak but Picnic doesn't seem that appealing to me for some reason. If you don't mind paying full price - Bell, Book, and Candle is my second favorite TT title, right behind Rapture. I strongly recommend it. After all it's hard to go wrong with James Stewart, Kim Novac, Jack Lemon, Ernie Kovacs, Hermione Gingold, and Elsa Lanchester.

Swamp Water and Experiment in Terror are two of the sale titles that I ordered. I have the Sony DVD of the latter, but it's worth an upgrade. As for Swamp Water I'm a fan of its director, Jean Renoir, but I haven't managed to catch up with this one. I figured it was worth the blind buy, since it's Renoir.

I've never managed to catch The Other, either. Some of the opinions of it here have been on the low side, but I know people who love it. It's one I wouldn't have any objection to picking up, but there are too many other titles that have higher priority.

I spent way more than I expected to because of this sale, even though most of the sale films that I wanted were films I'd already bought at full price. I wound up ordering

BITE THE BULLET (blind-buy)
LOST HORIZON
SEXY BEAST (blind buy)
THE OTHER (blind buy)
CONRACK
EQUUS
ALL THE KING'S MEN
THE BLUE MAX
THE EDDY DUCHIN STORY (blind buy)
THUNDERBOLT AND LIGHTFOOT (blind buy)

Between these, the Foxconnect flash sale, the last Criterion flash sale, and a few other recent/upcoming releases, I'll be spending lots of time in my basement theatre during April!

THE OTHER is a fascinating horror film, especially when placed in the context of when it was made and the influence it has had since. It also has one of the most gut-wrenching and disturbing endings around. It's horror in the old-school sense, though...don't expect any big screams.

I saw The Other in the theatre when I was a kid and I loved it, it is very creepy and well acted.

I watched "All The King's Men" tonight. I thought it looked excellent. Of course, the fades/dissolves are dupes so they look softer, but the majority of the film looks very good. Happy with my purchase.

If there is limited stock (although they say they have additional stock past the 3000 units) when will we know that what we ordered will be fulfilled ?

I ordered 4 items two days ago and the status for them is still pending.

I bit the bullet and bought Bite the Bullet ... along with the 2 Flint movies.

I might make one last gasp order before the day is over as I'm on the fence with several other titles. I can relate to Blu-Velvet's wallet pain with all the recent sales ... not to mention some newly acquired shelf space filling up way, way faster than expected.

(Lastly, good job on the op, oildude).
