If I'm suppose to take him seriously, then his hyperbolics threw that idea out the window.

But that's just me. It's a oddly-directed movie, but again, it did eventually keep me in the edge of my seat, so I didn't feel like it was a miss (especially for my first Twilight Time buy).
That was a movie I was very happy to rent first because I was pretty close to blind buying it based on how many people here liked it. But it really didn't sit well with me. I disliked all the characters (or felt they were underdeveloped), didn't find the dark humor darkly humorous, and felt like Kingsley's acting was impressively neurotic but also hugely distracting, as you said. With that particular title, I'm glad to have not bought it.

I agree, I ended up giving it to my brother.

I ordered All The King's Men for SAE and it took 6 business days to ship. I am happy with that. I figured I'd wait about a week and a half from having read through a bit of this thread.

I also ordered Oliver! from SAE via Amazon.com. That order shipped next business day(a Friday) and arrived the following Monday. That was a pleasant surprise.

I just pre-ordered the Original, Unaltered Star Wars Trilogy from Twilight Time! Finally, I can get these with the only bonus feature I've ever really wanted, the complete isolated scores!! Too bad about the 3,000 copy limit, these WILL sell out by the end of today, April 1!!!

Hopefully no later then that, but this board has been making me paranoid about waiting for a long time for shipping.

After hearing the horror stories about pre-orders getting filled last, I expect mine by nearly May.

lol, if that actually happened there would be literal WAR on the internet and the sellout would be within an hour. maybe longer if SAE's website didn't implode from over traffic the second it went live

I've still got 5 orders (32 movies total) pending from them that I placed during the sale. Would be nice if they shipped at least one of them this week.

I had planned to make an order myself, but kept putting it off. Next thing, the sale was over. I'll order Swamp Water once they get caught up at SAE. Really want to watch that movie .

Yeah I was really primed for the sale, what with Used Cars, the free signed copies of The Front and a bunch of movies that I'd pay $20 but not $30 for. I just kept letting myself get sucked back in and ended up buying all but three of the sale ones (except for seven I already owned). I was also intrigued by a number of Fox movies that I just realized had never been released DVD, so I bought all of those. I thought wow, some Blu-ray exclusives, how cool (BTW, Swamp Water is one of those, and probably the best of them. Why it has never been released on DVD before is beyond me.)

Rapture ordered in the sale 19/03/14, shipped 25/03/14 arrived in Blighty 02/04/14 . Pretty fast turnaround. Very pleased considering the ongoing staffing issues etc

Now let's see how long BMTHOAG takes, ordered 21/03/14 and shipped 29/03/14

My 3/19 order arrived in 5 business days or so.

My order placed on 3/21 has not shipped (all non-preorders).

I know they are a small business, and I was upset to see all of the bashing they received on this thread ... they are shipping movies, we will get them -

However my sentiment is beginning to change. If a company cannot at least ship an order in essentially 2 weeks, then maybe they should not be handling the logistics of $20 to $30 a pop, 3 oz. plastic cases w/ 1 oz. plastic discs in them..

I enjoy giving leeway, we all need it sometimes. But we are paying a premium and the difficulty behind "processing" --> "picking stock" --> "packaging" --> "shipping" for friggin' DVDs/ should not be this time consuming.

Perhaps they are trying their best, and for a mom and pop we should all have some patience --> My guess is that incompetence is coming into play.

Order #3 just shipped.

Still waiting on my first order on 3/21 and the Used Cars/Wild at Heart order from 3/19 (but, I'm not expecting that to ship until release date).

You're not alone. I have 3 orders from them that have not shipped. One is for the pre-orders which probably won't ship till almost May at this rate...

It seems if you ordered one or two titles, those are getting shipped, as others have posted in here. 2 or more titles seem to be taking time, which is what my orders are. Maybe they ran out of boxes...Patience is wearing thin, considering it's now 2 weeks since the 19th when the orders were placed and all the titles were supposedly in stock...

My copy of All The King's Men arrived today. The case is cracked all to hell. I am fairly certain it is one of the Infiniti cases that SAE has switched to using. I need to order some replacement 1 disc cases anyway because I've had quite a few broken cases recently. Anyone have a recommendation for cases? I am leaning towards some Viva Elites. And are these Infiniti cases even available in batches smaller than 1,000 from any seller? I would kind of like to keep All The King's Men in the same type of case if feasible(OCD is getting the best of me).

just a bunch of titles that had been out for a while priced $10 off.
so really for someone like me who had bought pretty much every title when they first got released it was awesome to see that other people could spend maybe $200 less than I had to obtain the same titles.
yes it was cool for TT to have a sale for people that had always dreamed of one, but honestly it kind of felt like a slap in the face to me.
(just the way I felt at the time; but I'm happy for people that really benefitted from it) It was just kind of love it/hate it kind of deal for people that had spent the full amount on every title imo.
and, of course, some people will probably just wait out a bunch of slower sellers now--waiting for a possible sale down the road. I mean who wants to feel like a chump again.
I know I don't.
