I'm also in Canada and I have about 15 Twilight Time discs. Ordering 3, 4 or 5 discs at a time is an extremely impractical and expensive solution for a nickel and dime problem. As you well know, the cost of getting even 3 TT discs to Canada is over $100.00. Go up to 5 discs and you're getting closer $170.00 (and that's not including the exchange rate which pushes 5 discs a lot closer to $200.00CDN.) If I had that kind of money to spend, I wouldn't worry about eco-cases either. I'd just order BDs in large quantites at a time and get them boxed. Maybe I'm the poor man out. I don't know about the rest of the Blu-ray buyers in the world but I suspect that most of us can't drop one or two hundred bucks per order. Furthermore, even if I was sufficiently well-heeled to afford that kind of consumption, I doubt if I could find 3, 4 or 5 BDs that I wanted from Twilight Time every time I placed an order. A simple, solid case is the cheap, easy and fair solution. I say "fair" because it allows us average BD fans to buy one or two discs at a time and have them safely shipped in envelopes. People who have money can always find ways to work around their "problems". If someone has enough money to order 4 or 5 Twilight Time discs at one time, I'm sure they can find a couple of bucks for matching cases. Those of us who don't have big money would appreciate the minor consideration of a solid, standard BD case. And, again, I want to acknowledge my appreciation of Twilight Time for granting us that consideration. |

Haters gonna hate.
I'm glad it's been a few pages since shots have been taken at Kirgo, that just shows the depths to which the haters will stoop to malign a company that is trying their best to provide hi quality encodes of films. Before I'm labelled an apologist -again- the shipping delays from SAE aren't really excusable by and large as many complaints don't involve autographed copies and is something that does need to be rectified post haste. |

Yes the $29.95 TT Titles are expensive and the exchange rate sucks for Canadians, but we are all given a choice if We want to buy or not, I buy because simply I want to own and add these Titles to My Collection so I don't complain about prices, etc. because in the end it's My choice and I'm happy with it. |

This was something I discussed dozens of pages ago. A case is a shipping vessel. It is the last line of defense between the disc and exterior threats: pressure, abrasion, shock, puncture and cuts during it's journey from warehouse to end-user. An eco case puts nothing solid between the disc surface and those threats. Surely you have read the recent posts here about discs arriving in shattered eco cases? For those of us who can't order order large quantities of discs with each retailer (and I would contend that is the vast majority of us), A proper BD case is the simple, fair, reasonable solution to the problem. This is not an excessive demand. For the first several years of Blu-ray, ALL discs came in solid cases. Most still come in standard solid cases. I just checked the last half dozen Blu-rays that I've purchased from SCREAM, SONY, WARNER BROTHERS and BLUE UNDERGROUND and they all came in solid cases. So I'm not making some radical request by promoting the preservation of the solid case. I'm saying the Blu-ray case design of 2007 was perfect and doesn't need to be "fixed". It worked great seven years ago and it works great today. Keep using it. |

And to the response a few above this re Titus, I don't own the BD but my understanding is that it's a 1080i transfer provided by the studio. It's the encoding of the transfers they keep hi quality - they cannot control the source. |

![]() Personally, the thing that gets to me is when some random screenshot gets ripped and posted somewhere and right then and there some "expert" declares a disaster of some sort or they reference Caps-a-holic (or something like that) a place notorious for picking one problematic spot and posting a still of it...from there many assume that a transfer is bad or there are serious issues with it....that is annoying. |

![]() Four seems to be the best way for me to order TT titles now. The shipping works out less per disc than most US based sellers I buy from. I am looking forward to watching all of these: ![]() |

TITUS perhaps might have looked better but still looks fine overall, at least so it seemed projected four feet tall by over nine feet wide (and of course the film itself is pretty amazing). A few softish shots here and there and occasional minor wear on the print that was scanned. I'd probably rate it 4 out of 5 for PQ, perhaps 3.5/5 in some shots. Many if not most Universal transfers don't even come close (although they seem to have improved somewhat lately).
