I'd been meaning to ask about this title, since it's been bandied about as an upgrade. From what I can tell, the street date for the original DVD was 2011 04 12, which was almost exactly three years ago. So apparently, extending a license (in this case with Fox) for another three years isn't totally out of line? Or is it a completely new licensing deal, since it's on a different medium?

That's the one I want the most!

But as long as they annonce at least one new Woody Allen film then I'm happy for now.

As a massive fan of the James Bond franchise, I like watching these Flint movies to check the influences on subsequent Bond films. Moonraker is one fine example.
They are fun movies. Definitely a product of their time. Make sure you check out the great commentaries by Lee Pfeiffer and Eddy Friedfeld.

Default Rapture

I finally got around to watching Rapture. Now I see what all the fuss is about. What a wonderful wonderful film! Patricia Gozzi is amazing!

I hope Twilight Time keeps bringing more of these little known gems to bluray. (... at least it was unknown to me before I read about it here).

From Twilight Time FB page:

"Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia" writer / producer Gordon Dawson is the next booklet signature.

Shipment #2 came in today. Well wrapped as usual:

This time they even used foam peanuts and the shrinkwrapped bubble wrap:

This was my first time ordering a non TT title from SAE. Worked out to less $ for shipping than my usual ebay suspects. I might start to order some more non TT titles from SAE.

Of these I am really looking forward to Rapture and Swamp Water.

Order #3 is going to take a bit to get here since I think the April titles are not in until April 11th.

Patrica Gozzi is amazing in Rapture. It's truly a shame that she did not continue her acting career.

When TT is involved, BD would almost certainly be a different licensing deal from DVD. Most TT BDs were released on DVD by their original studios; I'm sure it's no different when TT handled the DVD. If Fox was pleased with its performance as a TT DVD, handing it to TT for BD also only seems logical.

Just watched All The Kings Men last night. Very good movie. Good transfer. Surprised no one has really mentioned this film. My first time seeing it.

Nice!

From what I remember, doesn't SAE charge your card right when you pre-order the film or is it when it ships?

If you use a card, they put a hold for the amount when you order. That hold will fall off after a couple of days, and the amount will be recharged when the items actually ship. If you pay with Paypal, they charge it immediately and the money stays gone.

Thanks for the reminder! I've only ordered a few movies from them and couldn't remember. I'm crossing my fingers for Burnt Offerings and hopefully that rumor about Pumpkinhead is true.

I know there are delays on the 4/8 titles, but what kind of company doesn't e-mail you to tell you that?

Why should I have to come here or their website to find out what's going on with my order? They have my e-mail address!
