It's not like the other studios have delayed discs (Oh wait, they have)

I was just thinking that. Arrow in the UK have delayed a few of their end of April discs for a week or two. Didn't get an email from them either. But i'm not going to call them unprofessional.

I'm not their apologist, but they (Screen Archives) are not Amazon. I think they state on their web site something along the lines of,

Release dates are subject to change. All dates are estimates and subject to manufacturer revisions beyond our control.

Once they state that release dates are estimates, it's tough to hold them accountable for being 3 days late. But that's just my opinion

I don't think not telling you about a 3 day delay makes them unprofessional. At least not in ALL CAPS

I think they're a small growing company that has put out movies that I want which have little mass appeal. I have always received my orders in a reasonable fashion, but then again, I don't worry whether it took 3 days or 5 days to get them. They make no claim about how quickly you'll get your order. In fact they ask that you wait 4 weeks before inquiring about orders not received. I assume that's their way of building in time for missed shipment dates from their production outfit. Their pricing is reasonable, specially if you compare them to Criterion, and the quality of their discs have been pretty good for the most part.

My copy of Used Cars is on its way, should be in hand on Monday. So if you preordered this past time you may wanna check your order status.

Pending... with no tracking #. I guess their screwed up order fulfillment order is bending me over. I placed my order, literally 90 seconds after they went up for pre-order.

Love and Death would be nice, if not in this batch of annoucements some time in the future. The laserdisc and DVD releases were both poor and being the most spectacular of his pictures it's the one that would really benefit the most from a nice BD transfer.

I chose not to purchase titles from Twilight Time. Ever. Not saying there's anything wrong with those who have been or will, not a complete hypocrite here haha. I'm sure many haters post here etc., and I'm sure you all see why. What I have chosen to do instead is go the region-free player route. There are a bunch of titles released in North America from TT that have region free discs (aka playable everywhere) released elsewhere. I picked up the region-free Italian discs for As Good As It Gets, Philadelphia, The Way We Were, Oliver!, and Zulu. Now that I have a region-free player, I have Arrow's releases for The Fury, Battle Royale (awesome set that beats the Anchor Bay one IMO) and Big Trouble in Little China (more extras than the Fox disc). I'm curious if others have opted to do this too. Possibly wait for other foreign releases instead of dishing out the $30US for a TT disc.

Maybe they're waiting for the reviews of "Bullets Over Broadway" Depending on which way the reviews go they may select another Allen film

Some of those TT titles available as imports are virtually the same, such as Australian Journey to the Center of the Earth (which you can get off ebay for $20). But others are not as good, for example the TT release of The Egyptian has an excellent commentary track that's missing on the import versions.

Most of the TT titles that interest me are the older Fox titles, that have no import counterparts.

I'm not saying TT is unprofessional and I certainly don't expect them to be an Amazon....I'm simply saying that as soon as a delay was identified (even though their street dates have become softer as of late), an e-mail stating so would have been appreciated.

I also have gotten a shipping notice for one of the 2 titles I ordered from the "4/8" batch.

TCM Shop shipped my copy of Wild at Heart today (bought it for a few bucks less there when they had that 30% off sale).

I, like jetthead, have a region free player and I still buy TT releases.

How long does it take for Twilight Time to deliver your package if you did the $4.35 shipping? Wild at Heart is my first Twilight Time purchase, and I'd like a general conscious please thanks.

My copy of Wild at Heart shipped yesterday and it's scheduled to arrive on Monday. I think every order I've placed with Screen Archives has arrived within a few days after shipment.

I assume when you pre-ordered makes no difference in shipping order. I had WaH bought at 4:00 on the dot when the pre-orders started and my copy still has not shipped.
