my order doesn't say signature required, so there must be some criteria. What that is I have no idea.

Might it have to do with what the ratings on the movies are?

I wouldn't think so, but a few months ago I was buying a copy of the DigiPack edition Taxi Driver at my local Best Buy, and they actually asked for ID! When I asked why, they said it was company policy when buying an R-rated movie. Never happened to me before or since, and I've never heard of it happening to anyone else.

The funny thing is that when I grow out my hair and beard during the winter, I tend to look like Jerry Garcia, so I can't imagine anyone thinking that I wouldn't be old enough to watch an R-rated movie.

At any rate, I'm not sure I'll be getting my package today. As I mentioned in my last posting, it arrived at a sorting facility in-state early yesterday evening. I would've expected it to reach the local PO during the night, and be out for delivery today, but it said that it left the sorting facility today.

So, probably tomorrow. Not that it's a serious problem, but it is flagged as "2-day Priority Mail", and it will end up being four. But I'll cut the PO slack since, as someone else mentioned earlier, they were no doubt swamped by tax return filings.

Are SAE a "one man and his dog operation" ? Whenever I order anything from them I always seem to be the last person to get their orders shipped. My order from March had still not shipped, despite many people here including international customers already receiving their orders and given none of the titles I ordered have sold out I decided to cancel so I can add to my April orders when those go live next week. Will save me $7.50 in shipping as based in UK, as we pay $10 on the first disk in each order.

Anyway emailed requesting cancellation and no reply. So emailed again, as wanted cancelled before holiday weekend so I know safe to reorder next Wednesday. Anyway finally got email confirmation as very curt response to each email. Once would have been okay. Not the customer service experience you get at places like Amazon.

Will order next Wednesday and hope this time they can actually be bothered to ship my orders. They have actually lost out by failing to ship, as will now reconsider what I will order next week to keep down costs.

Others can chime in to say how many titles they had on their order and if SIG was required.
I got my pre-orders yesterday. 4 titles and a signature WAS required.

Finally got shipping notification of my order (as of yesterday evening, it was still pending and without a shipping # on SAE's website). This was a big order placed within 3 minutes of going live on March 19, though not fast enough to get the signed copy.

Every time I've ordered in the last couple months I'm one of the last ones to get a shipping notification. As far as I have been able to deduce from everyone's messages, these things that apparently count against me: 1) buying more, 2) buying as soon as preorders go up, 3) living only a few states away. Makes complete sense.

That's weird, I just noticed that it's requiring a signature on my delivery as well which is due to arrive today. Never had that happen before with them. I did order enough to get a box this last go around. Normally I work at home on Thursdays so it wouldn't be an issue except I had to go into the office today. I'll be home tomorrow though so an extra day won't hurt.

Hope the mailman doesn't think I ordered porn to warrant that signature haha. Yep... ordering vintage porn from Screen Archives Entertainment...

Pretty much. You're going to be disappointed every time if you expect Amazon.

Well, I ended up getting my shipment today. No signature required.

Bubble wrap and packing peanuts. Now that's how to wrap a package.

I don't blame SAE if the post office goes into slow-motion after SAE ships my discs.

But the situation you describe is what happened with my last order. I pre-ordered a couple discs on the day pre-orders went live and got my shipping notice eights days AFTER other people ordered the same discs when released and reported receiving shipping notices.

Ultimately, I got the discs so I there was no real problem. It's just a simple question of fairness. When you stand in line for something, you should reasonably expect to be served before people who show up after you.
I had no issue with the other two orders I placed because they all shipped within a week and the total shipping time from order was consistent with others Blus I order via ebay and other sellers.

I am a little bummed that I only got a shipping notice today for Used Cars, Wild At Heart, Philadelphia, Sleepless In Seattle, and Bite The Bullet. My order was in 3 minutes after they went live and I know this because I was amazed that I was unable to get the autographed The Front and actually had it in my cart and then I was unable to process it.

So, I ordered my movies in three minutes of being available; yet others who ordered considerably later seem to have received their orders sooner. Not going to stop me from buying future TT titles; but it would be nice if they would come up with some sort of system to prioritize orders by when they are actually placed.

you mean ya'll didn't read on SAE's Fakebook page how they print out all the orders onto little scraps of paper and place the whole lot into a big drum that they then spin around to determine the shipping order?
with all the people ordering and posting about these movies I can't believe some people missed this info.
It's been posted more then once I believe although not 100% on that.

Haha
Two people in my household placed an order on the same day.
I placed an order of 3 blu-rays within half an hour of the pre-orders going live.
The other person in the same household ordered just one (pre-order) blu-ray approximately 7 hours after the item went live. That item which was ordered hours later was delivered 3 days before the first order.
So, in my experience if you place your order first and it's more than one item, you fall down the list of priority shipments.
I don't get it either.

It would be nice if Twilight Time addressed the delay delivery problems and kept everyone up to date on how they are going to improve service in conjunction with Screen Archives Entertainment.

Because obviously, due to increased sales, yet costs for the client remaining the same, Twilight Time & Screen Archives will move their arses to improve service for their customers. Obviously.
